VOTING PHASE - MFGG Awards 2013

The time has come! The time we peruse the best games and the most prolific MFGG contributors and decide who'll be walking down the red carpet at MFGG Awards 2013. Here's the big list of nomination categories and the fantastic nominees within. The nominees in each category are listed in semi-random order:

How to vote
1) Copy and paste the first list into a PM to the MFGG Awards account.

2) Only leave the name/game you're voting for in each category. To avoid moral conflicts, you're not allowed to vote for yourself.

3) Send.

You do not have to vote for each category, but please try to vote for as many as you can. Try to play games you don't know yet before voting.

Please submit your PMs by Friday, January 24, 11:59 P.M. (EST). It's not a strict deadline, so it ends when we start tallying up the votes, which is usually past midnight (a.k.a. the next day), so don't hesitate to submit late votes.

The Awards ceremony shall be held during the evening of Sunday, January 26. Please post here if you prefer the "all at once" or "one by one" approach to revealing the winners.

I'm really glad that Mushroom Pancakes is nominated in so many categories, it's the best fangame MFGG's seen in a long while! And... ooh, what's that? Is that... MIT, CAM AND I'S fangame? Nominated in three different categories? Ooohoohohooo!

~~Everyone forgot The Purple Coin~~ I wasn't waiting a nomination (That's why I remove pointless vote Mario & Luigi's Coin Chaos ad. It doesn't have any strong points!) but good luck to other nominated people.

Why are there so many nominations for Midas Machine? It didn't have any new demo this year. Also, nominations for Abducted Toad in 3 categories, cool!

Thanks all you folks who included VinnyVotes in their nomination ballots. Midas Machine is eligible because while there wasn't a new demo, the developers showed tangible proof that they were still making progress on it. (Although I didn't vote for it, for that very reason.) The Purple Coin did get a few nominations, but I erroneously believed it was finished in 2012. Since it was actually completed in April 2013, and is thus eligible, I'll add it back once I ask Miles about it. I was surprised to see that I was the only person who nominated Mushroom Pancakes. I thought it was the best game on MFGG in 2013, but it seems that everyone else either forgot about it or overlooked it.

oh hey- the new super mfgg bros. thing is a bit outdated. The version you've linked is no longer in development, the project's resumed development as MFGG TKO. Could you update the links and names and stuff pretty please?

As for MFGG TKO, that's totally my fault. Wasn't sure what to do since the old name was used and at one point it actually was two different things if I remember right. Very sorry about that.

Well, those couple of months sure felt like much longer. It's pretty cool to see you around again. As for the Purple Coin, how big was the update? I don't remember, but if the whole Batbro mode was made in 2013, I think it should be eligible for the Awards. However, if you want it to be forgotten, I guess we should just leave it away from the final voting to avoid any confusion and votes from having to be resent.

I'm honestly surprised that TTD got any nominations at all after that troll fiasco and the box.net failure resulting in all the links getting fragged. Thank you to whoever put those in. glad to see that you still beleive in the project.

I was pleased to see that Friendly Dictator's Abducted Toad got three category nominations. (I support the game!) I'm not on to vote, but I'll still watch over the MFGG Awards with my little box of popcorn.
