MFGG Thread *
Minus World ThreadWelcome to an idea I've have for a while now! A community hack of SMW between MFGG and MW. We'll get some people to work on graphics and level design. I'm here to handle the technical side of things such as inserting graphics and whatnot. As this is a project with 2 different communities being involved, I went ahead and made a discord server for the project:

I have added a few things to SMW, namely: chain-chomp, blooper, classic goomba, hammer bro, brick blocks, and donut blocks. There are some other changes made too, for example thrown objects(shells and whatnot) can collect coins, yoshi blocks now act like they do in SMA2 and Mario can walljump.
OutlinesGraphicsSimply put, SMW is ugly. We can do better. The idea is to make original graphics as good as possible while using the same palettes and restrictions. Try not to refer to SMW and instead just try make your own thing(while staying in style). If you want to know the restrictions or palette of a certain sprite I will be able to help you there, as SMW has some funky stuff going on with its sprites.
To find a style to work off of, we will first sprite Mario.

LevelsBe creative and fun, you're all fangamers so I know you all can design fun levels. The only other thing to say is try to be fair to the player: we want this to be accessible to everyone, even people new to SMW.

CONCERNING CUSTOM SPRITES
(if you dont know what these are go watch some more lunar magic tutorials)
01x2 is classic goomba, can be used anywhere
02x2 is hammer bro, needs SP3=80, you also cannot use chucks when you use them
03x2 is chain chomp, needs the forest set(sp4=2)
04x2 is level ender, need to insert this manually. Will end the level once all sprites on screen are defeated
05x2 is blooper, needs the water set(sp4=06)
