We all know about spinoffs - series created either after or in conjuction with a TV show, usually focusing on a different setting or character.
But sometimes spinoffs can get wacky. Really wacky. These are usually animated adaptations of live-action shows.
What are the strangest spin-offs you've ever seen? Mine would have to be Gilligan's Planet.
Following 1974's The New Adventures of Gilligan, the Professor managed to build a spaceship (but not a new boat?) out of bamboo & coconuts so the castaways could get back to Hawaii.
But Gilligan, being Gilligan, threw a banana on Skipper's face (who didn't take it off for some reason, or let the Professor take the wheel), resulting in the ship going off track and crash-landing on an alien planet from god knows where.
The Fonz & The Happy Days Gang (where The Fonz has a time machine) is also a good one.
