Why was spoopy maryo accepted? It's not even a game. Engine tests are more of a game than it, and those are clearly forbidden in the submission guidelines. I know we're dealing with fangames here, but you could at least pretend to have some standards.
EDIT: Updated the ending to make it work better, and also an entire feature was missing and I put it back.
(It's a browser game. Unpack the folder and play index.html in in Chrome, Firefox, whatever. It'll be blurry and ugly in Internet Explorer and as far as I know there isn't a way in the world to fix this.)

Just what is the deal with Paper Mario? I mean really! You've got these huge sprites, all this shading, it's a wonder it doesn't crash the game! Just how do they do it? Really!

Also, it's a 4-bit sprite, not 16-bit in the SNES.
Cliax Codec is a combination of top-down and third-person shooter. The gameplay will blend platforming, puzzle and shmup elements together to create a unique gameplay experience. You will take control of four playable characters which rise against a team that seemingly wants to take over the world - but are their motives really that cliché, or are there deeper motives behind their actions?
Unless I'm not playing it correctly, I can't get past the first part in which the ghost kills me. :P Doesn't matter what key I press.
1. What browser are you using? 2. Are you sure you're not only pressing the right key, but also pressing shift if it's uppercase?

For something made in one sitting, it's alright. It's certainly more engaging than the original Spoopy Mayro, though it still doesn't quite appeal to me.
