I'm expert on PCs but I am not active recently due to my laptop. I have Windows 8.1 installed into the system, and it takes forever to boot up the system. Once my system boots up, it freezes until I turn it off (rarely stops freezing).

I opened task manager and I have found out "system" is using 100% hard drive capacity. So I have disabled Superfetch, Windows Update and Windows Search. After that the problem still persists, now it's 0 R/W (not even 0.1MB/S) on my hard drive and the hard drive is still busy (100%). And not only that, since I can't do anything. Explorer.exe keeps crashing around 5 minutes interval even though I can't even open any folder in explorer. The disk health is healthy and I defrag my hard drive every 2 weeks. Help!!!

Sorry for the mess but I posts this on my phone.

Btw, the CPU has never gone above 10% usage and I have 8GB of RAMs. Plus the hard drive light is constantly on.

Hmm... That's an interesting problem. I don't have access to my laptop right now so I can't do too much research at the moment, but I was able to find a thread on Microsoft's answers site where several people were having a similar issue to yours. Might want to read through it and see if any of the solutions help you at all. Here's the link: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/wind ... 8264c82c8d
Let me know if this is any help.

Ok I have resolved that problem but now a new issue jumps in:

Whenever explorer.exe is running, the computer hard drive is constantly 100% and explorer.exe always unresponsive. I can only use my computer smoothly if I kill explorer.exe. I dunno what's going on since I have checked my hard drive health and it passed/healthy.

Yep. No help. I might perform a malware/virus scan, it might be the issue.

EDIT: it seems like my partition is overloaded, I have perform a scan but found nothing. I did a fresh reinstall and upgrade to Windows 10 preview and now my laptop is working again.

This is a tech support topic. If you want to make lots of cheesy puns, go make a forum game or something.

My PC wont start up. I can power it on , but all i get is empty black screen, not even the GIGABYTE splash screen appears. Once I turn it on, i can't turn it off with the power button, I have to use the switch on the rear panel. Also, LED on the CD drive keeps blinking rapidly. What could this be?

Is there a Disk in the drive? If so, remove it.
Sometimes having a disk in the drive, or connecting new storage media (SD card, USB storage device, Etc.) can interfere with the system boot protocols.
Also, the computer manufacturer and model number would help as well.

There's no disk in the drive, the LED still flashes.
Manufacturer is GIGABYTE, GA-P31-S3G

I've been on Windows 10 for a few months now, and a few days ago I got a BSOD saying UNEXPECTED_STORE_EXCEPTION. I got that same BSOD twice that day, but after trying some stuff it seemed to be gone. Could use the PC flawlessy for like four days now, but now the BSOD returned... I have no idea what causes it, or what could fix it, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

It sounds like your hard drive is malfunctioning. Try using CMD command (administrator level) and type:
Code:
C:\

And then type:
Code:
chkdsk /f /r

And try checking for any system errors as well:
Code:
sfc /scannow

Also check your BIOS if it's set to AHCI, if you have that option try using IDE.

If none of these helps, then your hard drive may be getting close to the end of its life. If you want to get a new hard drive, I would suggest you getting a solid state hard drive.

Thanks for your reply.
I had tried the former two solutions before, but the BSOD persisted.
Now I just tried booting using IDE, but when I try to do that I get another BSOD saying INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE.

Yeah, I think your hard drive may be dying. While opening the computer mash F8 to open advanced options, then select startup repair. It sometimes works.
If it doesn't you can also try system restore or just reinstalling Windows.

^ Installing an OS to a dying drive is extremely counterproductive. Don't make it work hard for nothing when it's already having issues...

But yeah, you really need a new one. Do all your backupy things and get a good big SSD or something.

Edit: I just now realized I'm days late on this. Oops.

My copy of Game Maker Studio (1.4) keeps closing itself. About a minute or two after I open it, it'll quietly just... close. No error messages, nothing. It's weird.
