Yes, this is the same character that's currently in my avatar BTW...

Nice! But give him some bounce. He looks very stiff and unnatural there. Also, you should bend his arms a little so he doesn't look so strange.

One more 2D animation software that I think would be helpful. http://animationpaper.com/old-pap-free-download/

Pencil 2D is definitely buggy and has many problems that cause the software to "unexpectedly" shut down (or at least for Windows).

The old one is on the right. I still haven't messed much with the arms yet, but hopefully this is a step in the right direction...

I don't think I'll have time to complete the entire cutscene by the deadline (seeing as I have to make a detailed model and texture of Mario's stylized face as well as other animated drawings). I did put a good amount of time into it, but it's been progressing at a turtle's pace. It will get done eventually (probably weeks from now), but this will suffice as my entry submission.

This was made in flipnote and is ~80 frames in length. Good thing I still have my old DSi handy. :cool:

Wow, I really like the hand drawn look to it. Was this made in Fli- oh, it was. I remember Flipnote Studio. Drawing random and terrible animations, getting shut down and promised that it would come to 3DS, Japan getting Flipnote Studio 2 and us not. Good times, goooood times...

But seriously, it looks awesome. I can't put my finger on what the style reminds me of...

I gotta drop out. Trying to learn how to skin + make a custom IK rig..and then animate in less than half a week was a bad idea lol. I'm too busy tomorrow to do something else =/

Well I started on something but my workable ideas didn't happen until before yesterday and today's a bad day for me to be attempting a last-minute dash. I gotta drop out of this one. I might try and do something with that later, though.

I'm almost done with my animation. Just gotta finish the last 20 seconds.

EDIT: Still the 15th where I am, done! Dang, this took a long time to finish.



Since there is no theme, I used Megaman/Rockman in my animation (no one said it had to be Mario-based).
The song is the intro theme from the Rockman.EXE anime.
And someday, I might make this a full-on series, as I have a pilot from a few months (or a year) ago. If you want to watch it, look it up on my channel (which this is uploaded from).
