Looks like the Midas version of those plant platforms in SMW.

They actually were based on those SMW platforms. I always thought they looked neat so I added them in an early version of the sky tileset.

To be honest, this level may not be in the game, I was just messing around with some of the earlier graphics and I ended up with this.


Too bad. I am sure there could have been some place for it in Mushroom Patrol: The Midas Machine.

Well visually I like the concept, but in terms of gameplay, I'm not sure what I want to do. I mean, the plan as of right now is for it to be a basic platforming level, but I'm still undecided on what enemies would work best to make a well thought out challenge.

No the problem isn't thinking up a new kind of enemy, it's thinking of which existing enemies (as in ones that are in the engine) I could use that would work well together.

Hmm... Well there are Snifits. How about making a specific kind shoot vegetables?
As for Koopas and Goombas (and the ever persistent spear guys) recolors are out of the question. Are there any sort of Mining Chuck enemies that you could make utilize veggies as well?

Can't you make some sort of global variable like (radish road) and and object with it so it can make them act (the enemies) differently? Oh, and as for what's shown I really like the concept.

I don't think you are understanding the issue. I'm trying to fine combinations of enemies that compliment each other in a way that will make a challenging level, not a way to make enemies use radishes as weapons. For example, Spinies and Bullet Bills. Spinies require you to jump over them where as Bullet Bills make random hopping around dangerous.

Ohhh. I see now. I should probably stop posting here for the reason of derailing the topic, but I couldn't help but notice that there's a new health bar from the Ice-castle cloud riding bit. It seems really wierd to me for some reason

I'd recommend using what the SMW level had then and compliment it with a Lakitu, even though some new enemy would be neat for this level I guess. Also, the magic of these plant platforms only works at nighttime~

Hmmm, I think I'm actually going to use Bullet Bills and Blue Koopas. Blue Koopas haven't been added yet, but they will essentially pull themselves into their shells when you are in range and then take off as though they were kicked like a normal shell. This will cause the player to have to take their time and avoid the incoming shells while also avoiding bullet bills.

They do, but in SMW it was even worse. That still looks beautiful, though, but maybe work on the contrast between the bright and dark colors a little more? Hm. And maybe put something more special in the nighttime BG, as the level was pretty standout-ish back in SMW... hmm...

The BG as is is a place holder. I haven't made any specific BGs for the sky world yet.

Like I said, it's a place holder, so those mushrooms most likely won't be there in the end anyways. I already have somewhat of an idea for what I want to do anyways.
