Suppose you have an idea, but just don't have the drive to put it into play. Drop it off here - somebody may be able to use it some day.
To name a few kinds of ideas: - Storyline concepts (fan fiction included) - Character ideas (Is that a pink thwomp? Is it friendly?) - Locations (For example, a Mario themed Hyrule.) - Power-ups & Power-downs (For example, a green rock that gives you the power of radiation.) - Bosses (It's GoombGirra!!) - Theories (How does the fire flower work?)
Anything that you cannot put into play, anything that has not been drawn up, even if you think that it's bad. Remember that anyone who uses your ideas is allowed to tweak things a little, and for full idea sets you may request credit.
Update! If you use a "full set" idea, please contact the creator of that concept so that it might be marked as "used" or removed.
----Edit---- Thank you Miles for helping me fix all this.

Name: Super Mari Bros. Starring: Mario (and maybe Luigi) Genre: Platform
A Stylistic-Suck kind of game that parodies all pirate games. Awful colors, bad music/midis and bad gameplay.
And the title comes from the fact that a lot of pirates call Mario 'Mari' for some reason.

----edit---- hey, this could be whats missing in my game concept from before,
Heck of a bump, but i do have some relevant content to add.
Theory:
Koopa and Bowser are 2 different characters,
Koopa may have been the original king of darkworld,
and in his death, bowser took his place.
Theory based on content from the cartoon show,
a sudden change in koopas name.

What I've always wanted to do (and may still do someday) is develop a fangame, simple enough to program without too many complications, of an adventure, story-driven theme, more focused on exploration and setting than gameplay. I started creating one a long while back which followed a gray goomba, Grey The Goomba (hoh hoh), the only survivor of a ruined kingdom in the desert

From where Mario enters the time machine near the end, or at a different point in the story line that would make sense, you'd have to correct the past by playing through bits and pieces of the different Mario games, throwing in the fact that Bowser randomly appears in these past games, and you have to stop him. You could also give Mario the power to travel time on his own, and be able to weave through events and/or games. It'd almost be like Assassins Creed.

Well, whatever you do, don't name it anything that can be confused with my project - Time Twisted. Because this project idea has Mario going through time, while Time Twisted... well, in the World Zero, time itself is truly twisted, as enemies from Mario's past, as well as foes/rivals that he hadn't faced in a proper Mario game, appear to try and stop him.

I've had this idea for quite a while now, and I'm sure someone out there can turn this into an actual game. It takes a little (read: lots of) inspiration from this obscure Sonic game called "Knuckles' Chaotix".
Title: Mario & Wario Land Genre: Platformer Story: Spoiler:
Professor E. Gadd and Dr. Crygor (from the WarioWare series) collaborate on their latest project: Sixty-Four Flags (yeah, change the name to something more creative), a grand amusement park for citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom and Diamond City to enjoy. The Platinum Power Star and numerous other Power Stars are the source of the amusement park's power, and they pretty much keep everything flowing smoothly. Crowds of people from both areas flock to the park on the morning of the grand opening. A few VIP guests were invited to attend the event, including Mario, Luigi, the Toad Brigade, Yoshi, and Princesses Peach and Daisy. Unfortunately, the latter two could not come, due to them being tied up with some boring diplomatic duties (thanks a lot, Toadsworth), so... that's too bad.
Meanwhile, at Wario's house, the greedy plumber was working on the latest collection of microgames (WarioWare Triple-D Microgame$!) when he sees a news report highlighting the new amusement park. Waluigi drops by shortly after that, and brags about his VIP invitation. Enraged at the fact that he didn't get one (or so he thought, he was sitting on it and it got stuck to his pants), Wario grabs his bro, and storms off to Sixty-Four Flags to give Dr. Crygor a piece of his mind. Jumping to conclusions, eh?
Back at the park, everyone was having a wonderful time until, Bowser shows up and ruins everything (of course). In addition to his Koopa Troop, he even brings his entire family with him (except for his wife, of course)! Kamek, Bowser Jr., all seven Koopalings, and even Boom-Boom and Pom-Pom aid him in taking over the park, capturing many of the guests and E. Gadd and Crygor in the process. Bowser also snatches the Platinum Power Star and his kids steal the rest of the Power Stars, which causes the park's many rides and attractions to go haywire.
Fortunately, Mario and Luigi were not victims of this. Why? Luigi spent too much time in the shower and hogged all of the warm water, so Mario had to fix the shower faucet- Well, in short, they arrived late. When they got there, however, the entire place was deserted. E. Gadd, Crygor, and Toad jump out of a nearby garbage dumpster (they were hiding from Bowser; desperate times call for desperate measures), and informs the four plumbers of these terrible events. So it's up to the Mario Bros. and the Wario Bros. to save everyone and put a stop to Bowser's plans.
It's later revealed that Bowser wanted this to be a present to his kids, since he apparently forgot all of their birthdays. Hilarity ensues.
Good lord, I wrote a lot for this
Gameplay: Spoiler:
Mario, Wario, Luigi, and Waluigi are the main playable characters, each with their own unique stats and moves. Unlike a certain other game with a Midas Machine, however, you can control two characters at once (think about the Paper Mario partners). The two plumbers you choose (one leader, one follower) can perform team moves in the same vein as the Bros. Moves from Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga, which is useful for reaching certain areas.
I was thinking the park should be divided into seven areas, one for each Koopaling, with themes reflecting their likes and personality. Try to think of more original names and better themes for these, if you must. For example:
- Pipe Maze Zone (Roy) - Toys and Treats Zone (Lemmy) - Beach Resort Zone (Wendy) - Castle Zone (Ludwig)
The eighth world (Galaxy Zone) belongs to Bowser Jr., and Boom-Boom and Pom-Pom could be mid-bosses in each world. The final level could take place on a nearby island with Bowser's Castle on it, with Kamek being the second-to-last boss and Bowser being the absolute final boss, who has the Platinum Power Star in his grasp. Collecting enough Stars allows you to access new areas.
After saving the rest of the Toad Brigade (Blue, Yellow, Green, and Purple Toads) and Yoshi, they'll be able to help you out (the Toads give you items and help you find collectibles while Yoshi will let you ride him just like in SMW). In addition, many of Mario's other friends will have to be rescued (Paper Mario partners like Goombario, Kooper, and Lakilester; Toadette, etc.). A few of Wario's friends (Jimmy T., Young Cricket, Kat and Ana, 9-Volt, etc.) will show up in certain levels for some assistance and funny dialogue (mostly the latter).
Haven't thought about the style of gameplay, though; it could be either a standard 2D Mario platformer, or a 2D platformer in the style of the star-collecting 3D games. Anyways, that's for you to decide.
Make as many changes as you want to this; I'm just throwing this out there for someone to use.
EDIT: Revised a few things.

I knew someone would bring this up. I'm sure Midas Machine is not the first fangame to have these four as playable characters.
(Why do I keep editing my posts?)

MM didn't invent that. I actually had an idea for a game where you could play as those four before I even heard of MM.

Quick bump, and probably not a good idea, but I need to get it out of my head somehow!
Super Mario vs Mortal Kombat
Story: I don't know, just some Mortal Kombat tournament.
Gameplay: Plays like Mortal Kombat 3, but adds Brutality, Hara-Kiri, and super moves (not the x-ray moves from MK9, mind you).
Roster: Uh, here it is Mario side: Mario Luigi Yoshi Bowser Koopa Troopa Peach Daisy Fawful Cosmic Mario Cosmic Luigi Boshi Birdo Toad
MK Side: Scorpion Sub-Zero Ermac Reptile Johnny Cage Liu Kang Raiden Kitana Mileena Jade Smoke Cyrax Sektor Jax Sonya Shao Kahn

I'd love to see someone make a point-and-click Mario game, maybe a bit like Mario Is Missing! but set in the Mushroom Kingdom - and executed better.
Also, a good Yoshi's Island engine would be nice if it wouldn't get abused like Hello's engines. Previous Yoshi engines have barely progressed past the physics seen in Yoshi vs. Windows.
