In regards to that little element... honestly, why would you hide the fact that it's a fangame?

If we were trying to hide that it's a fangame we wouldn't put "MFGG" in the beginning of the game, and we wouldn't put the "THIS IS A FANGAME" notice there either.

But yeah, Midas Machine is still a fangame, you can be sure about that.

It was not so much directed at you as the general mentality of fangames not being "professional" and/or perfectly emulating their source material, as there is too much irony in such sentiments to even put to words. But I digress, keep up the good work you two, as I look forward to trying this out. =)

Didn't really know where to post this, but this topic will probably do.

The first result in a google search for mushroom patrol midas machine is its NCFC booth, which is quite out of date. Should probably be fixed.

Guinea said I could make a video showcasing some new things in chapter2. Sadly, I can't make videos, and even if I could, I'd rather wait till things are a bit more polished (and for a mini boss to be shown in action or something).

Another small update, although don't expect to see this in game for a while, although that gives me time to fix it up (the clouds are bunched up because they aren't in the game yet, I had to add them by hand and I over did it.)

It's a little weird to me that the trees in the background don't have snow on them, but the individual pieces look really nice. I love the Cheep-Cheep on ice.

I actually added snow on them originally but it looked awkward, often blending in a bit with the tiles. The pure green however made the tiles stand out more. If I can make it work then I'll add snow but until then it'll stay as is, sorry.

Trying to work with BGs some more, I like where this one is going.

Also, Guinea, you on vacation or something? Not trying to rush you, just haven't heard anything from you lately. Wanted to make sure everything is alright.

Busy with final exams, but I should be able to get back to work next weekend or so.

I guess this'll be an early Christmas gift of sorts. I know a lot of people had some issues with the levels in world 1, saying they were too hard to navigate and what not, so you'll be happy to know world 1 is getting a complete redesign. I'm not just editing the existing levels, I'm completely restarting them from scratch (thanks to some advice from Thunder Dragon).

A little preview, although I'll say for now these shots don't really do them justice as I'm still working with the graphics, but trust me, they will be better.


Also, the underwater one looks a bit odd still, but in motion is looks nice with the newer close bg parts.


EDIT- Hmmm... I'm wondering if levels that take place 100% underwater should use a different filter that doesn't change the colors. Closest example I can think of is in Psycho Waluigi. Idk, the color works when in an otherwise dry level, but it looks kinda weird when it take up everything.
