In regards to that little element... honestly, why would you hide the fact that it's a fangame?
If we were trying to hide that it's a fangame we wouldn't put "MFGG" in the beginning of the game, and we wouldn't put the "THIS IS A FANGAME" notice there either.

That's like trying to have a novel pass itself off as a TV show, complete with screen transitions and what have you not. If you can pull it off, great, but otherwise, trying to fool people into thinking that your fangame is not a fangame is a lost cause, I'm sorry. Hence why a pet peeve of mine has always been people complaining about how certain (actually good) fangames aren't "professional." There's nothing professional about taking somebody else's ideas and characters, people! ;P Besides, it's no fun working with self-imposed restrictions. Fangame or no, you have all the freedom in the world, so don't let anything tell you how it should be done. =)
I added that because I wanted to add it for a long time, not in order to spit on some sort of fangaming codex.
I guess I quoted too much of his post and it made it look like the "it feels too fangame-y" argument convinced me to add it.
But yeah, Midas Machine is still a fangame, you can be sure about that.

Also this game looks pretty darn cool. But you already knew that.
Yep
Oh and if this whole post wasn't directed at me/us, ignore what I just said (even though it's true).
