I think it's safe to say that we are way to far in to add a feature like that. We'd have to redo levels to work with those new abilities and what not, it would be a lot of trouble in the end.

There was actually something like that, that I wanted to try in a level in world 5. Basically when a specific enemy hits you with it's attack, the player will temporarily turn into an 8bit version of themselves, during which the controls are flipped, or the physics changes to that of SMB1.

How about, as a nod to Kazumi Totaka (Music Composer For Many Games), include Totaka's Song as a secret somewhere. Maybe wait 2 minutes and 30 seconds on the Game Over screen?

Nice idea, but it's Totaka's song and Totaka only puts it in games he makes music for.

OK, I got another idea. I'm not sure if it's stupid or good, because my ideas are usually both.

So, there could be a kind of enemy who's stronger than normal enemies as they need to be on average hit 2-3 times to defeat them, but they're easier than mini-bosses.
Like this:

Tough Enemy: Koopa Bully (see below)
Enemy: Goomba


That's like one of those tree diagrams. So the odd idea for a enemy is a orange Koopa who is slightly bigger than normal Koopa Troopas and is called a Koopa Bully.

Koopa Bully
Attacks when far away
Chuck - Chucks Goombas or Koopas or other small fry like that (If there's no enemies on screen for him to throw, he'll chuck a random object. Like ? blocks, or coins, or even cherries or garlic! He might even throw a golden mushroom! (I like the idea of hiding it like that)
Kick - Same as Chuck, but it's an earthbound long distance attack (No coins or food are kicked).

Attacks when close
Barg - Bargs you away. Has a high blowback.
Chuck - Chucks you who knows where.

Attacks when attacked
Jump on him, and he'll go in his shell. He'd then quickly dash forward in it, and will then go out of his shell.
Kick a shell at him and he would kick it right back faster. Maybe he might charge up a return kick if you kick it from far away which would go much faster than a normal return kick.
Barg him, and he'll fall on his back. He'll go into his shell, and will do a deadly shell toss attack that either does two damage (kind of mean) or makes you dizzy (not that bad) and does one damage.
Super Jump him and his shell will break. Any attack now and he'll be defeated. To show how mean he is, if a Koopa is within range, he'll take the shell of that koopa and throw the koopa at you!
If he puts the shell on, it'd only take 2 Jumps, 2 Barg Attacks, or 1 Super Jump Attack.

How to break shell
3 Jump Attacks
2 Barg Attacks
1 Super Jump Attack
10 Fireballs to melt shell

How to defeat
After breaking/melting his shell, ANY attack at all will beat him.

If I have some time, I might make this as a sprite sheet to give you a better idea. But I would have to make it BIS style since I'm not able to make it 100% custom sprites.

We already have something like that planned, although I've just been calling them Minimini bosses.

Sorry to double post, but I've got an idea for a MiniMini Boss. It's a Black Boo which throws Dark Coins at you. For every Dark Coin you touch, you lose one of your coins. If you haven't got any coins and you touch a Dark Coin, you take damage. To defeat him, you have to jump on him/charge at him from behind to stun him and lower him to the ground, and you kick a shell at him. Repeat this 3 times to win.

It would be nive to see a secret level with the Dr. Mario viruses (Chill, Fever, and Wierd).

There is a computer level with computer virus versions of them.

oh i have a idea.
how the living level were the level is made of living things.
1 Paflivin. it a moving palfrom but its living thing sometimes it Attacks you if you stay on it too long.
2 Living Mushroom. its a power up, but makes player morph into a something like a koopa or something else
3 mini boss called Livtorn it like a dark purple that can transform into bigger version of bad guys. it has a sprial for the core of the mini boss
