I guess his head-spine axis should feel more horizontal than vertical, as in that DK sprite.
As a comparison, Pamooka has an 5-10° bend at the hip, followed by a 40° bend at the shoulder. The neck line is at a 60° angle to the floor.
The DK sprite has a 45° bend at the hip, followed by another 45° bend at the shoulder to form a net 30° bend from head to hip, and the neck is at a 0° (parallel) angle to the floor.
