It looks better than your first one, but I personally still prefer the original, but lets see what others think before we make a final call.

Honestly, the main reasons I don't like it as much is because he seems too thin, which also makes him look too tall, that and the animation still seems awkward for some reason.

The impression I got from the original Eerie sprites wasn't that they were just floating, they puffed their chests forward as they moved: it gave their motion personality and echoed that their whole mode of attack was just plowing straight into Mario (because they're throwing their weight around and don't care what ends up in their way).

Animations can be changed easily. What we want to find out is which design out of the two looks better for the project.

Then I say the original considering, in line with what I said about the animation, Eerie should have a little bit of chubbiness to him.

Hey Guinea, don't add the underground BG to ogmo please. I updated it, but then I noticed that it sucks, after which I had some ideas on how to make it better.

Sorry to double post but there is an error on one of the sheets in Ogmo. The haunted grounds sheet is no longer transparent. Well... it is, but it's the wrong color.

^ As I told you on MSN, bottom left pixel needs to be the transparent color. I might have cropped that away accidently when I added this to the engine, ignore for now ^-^"

Okay so I'm free from today (thursday) to Sunday, so I'm going to use that time to go over some sheets that I made a while ago that, in all honesty, I no longer care for at all.

Hey Guinea, if you get a chance to update any of the following, it would help.

Haunted outside tiles
ruins tiles
ice alt tiles*

*needs to be added in general

Hmm. I've seen the desert background you mentioned to me Chaoxys, and...I'm not really sure what I could do with it beyond adding more dunes in the foreground or more random monuments for background objects at the risk of cluttering it. Granted I haven't seen how it looks assembled in game, but it doesn't seem as bad as you described it to me (unless you've improved it since, I know I've been loitering and the message is old).

The main issue is that it's rather bland. If you'd like to make another layer (maybe one to go between the 2 dune layers) that would be awesome. Maybe with cacti or some ruins or something.

The ruins tileset is still cut off. Is there a height limit or something?

EDIT- Updated/added some BGs.

So to sum things up, the following things need to be added:
Ice BG
Ruins tiles (Like I said, it's cut off for some reason)
Castle Tiles
Castle BGs (the larger one please, with the Bowser statue, although it needs to be animated so it can wait)
Grass alt tiles

Also, I'd kinda like to see the new Goombas in action if you get a chance.

Cacti seems like more of an American desert trope than a Middle-Eastern one (which this one seems more like, given the pyramids), but I guess I can try some ruins to stick in there. I know the Mario series isn't one for logic (and enemies like Pokey are cactus-like anyway) but that'd be an issue of clashing themes.

Although it's true that they would usually clash, Mario tends to work with general themes, not specified ones. So a desert would basically be anything desert related. This is best shown in games like SMB3 and I think NSMBWii.

Quick idea. The mummified cheep-cheep; Chummy? Cheep+Mummy. Also, chum is ground up fish parts.

I was thinking that at one point, but the fact that it sounds like a pun off of chum, which can also mean friend, kept making it sound off. Idk, might use it, or his current name, Bando Cheep, which doesn't have as much meaning behind it, I just like how it sounds. Either way, may switch it to Chummy.
