I plan on creating a spiritual Successor to Yoshi's Island. I consider Yoshi's Island to be one of the greatest games of all time in its genre. And Nintendo has no idea... They keep shoving Yoshi so the back burner and never really letting him live up to the potential Yoshi's Island set him up with. Which brings me to my game. Here's the pitch: It's a game about a humanoid dinosaur named Glen and a psychic bird named Ash who unexpectedly become the heroes of a remote island by thwarting an extra-dimensional being who threatens to destroy reality. So the plot is a bit grim, sure. But I plan to have cartoon-ish graphics that hopefully contrast well with the game's dark plot. Tell me what you think. I have an engine slowly coming together that, by the time it's finished, should replicate the game-play of Yoshi's Island and I plan to use this as a jumping off point. (I'll go ahead and upload it once I fix the animation that is... totally broken right now.)
