Hello!

I got a little boredom and tiredness, and it's time to add fun items to get rid of it.
So I added Blue-Shell of NSMB this time. I also added a message block.

If I put it more early, it would be easy to put a message on the video ... I feel sorry. haha.
I prepared a short video.

Thanks.

Looks cool. Could be a game-breaker or maybe inspiration for new design. Can it break brick blocks from the sides?

Of course. :)
Shell Mario has the same action as when he kicked the Turtle.
(But there is a difference that slows down)

I'm following this project for a while and wow, this is actually really impressive considering you didn't use any game engine! I think you should use your skills for a some kind of very simple platformer game making engine thing instead of wasting them in a Mario fangame that will probably get taken down.

Haha Maybe it is.
About 10% of my acquaintances also think of my work as a "waste".

In fact, this is my third try of Mario clone game project,
and it was a small dream of my childhood to make games that I liked more than a similar level.
(I would like to share this project with my childhood friends, but I'm sorry I can not.)

I am only developing as a hobby, and because I have more perfection than expected,
I thought that there was a person who liked it, and I came to this website.

It is also my wish to give people who want to create or share the stage a chance to enjoy it together.
(because Mario is an adult toy. haha)

Hey, Another form of waste continues.

This time I created and tested a tower-type vertical scroll stage.
And now we can put enemies or some items into the pipe, or put enemies into blocks.

I also put in the costume transformation function of SMM, but I did not put it in the video.

The current stage design tool is convenient enough for me to use, but I do not think it will be for others.
I will continue to improve the stage design tools until I have an idea for a my engine.

Here is video:

Thank you.

It's okay to continue the game as a fangame, I just thought you could make even better stuff if you tried to move to indie stuff. But that has its own difficulties and I understand your decision.
Oh and your last video looks pretty good as well, can't wait until you release a public beta.

Long time no see everyone!

I have not been able to deal with the work since there are a lot of things in Real Life.
Also, since the work has focused on improving the map editor to make it easier for people who do not know the map editor, the additions to the surface may not be more than you expected. :)

Anyways!

Now the title of this fan game is Super fanmade Mario Bros. , And the current version is 1.6.

Update note:
- Added the ability to output high-quality sprites to enlarged objects.
- Added ability to set Mario's ability to use per stage. (Holding - things, spin jumping, etc.)
- Added mystery mushroom of SMM.
- Some enhanced animations.
- Improved running speed when invulnerable.

And video is here:

Thank you.

Yes, I did some drawing myself, and I even refer to the public sprite.

Those goomba and kooper turtle sprites look familiar... did you happen to edit them from the old fangame South Park Mario Bros. 2?

No, I just magnified the original image twice and trimmed the edges softer.
If that game worked the similar way, it might look similar :p haha

Sorry for the bump, but spin jump is very wrong.
First, you can't break blocks with small Mario. Second, spin jump only breaks flip blocks.
