Hello?

(I'm not native English speaker, please excuse)

I'm making a fan game based on Super Mario Bros. With pure C++ (No game engine used)

My first goal is to have prefection as possible close to the original game.
When I reach near to first goal, I will think about add more things from other series.

Game and MapEditor are separated.
MapEditor is not -game like- tool but it features play direct in tool.
And it makes various benefits I think. :thumbsup:

The development speed is slow because I'm developing alone. but I want to show you in this forum.

I had seen a very very similar SMB1 Editor some time ago...
But it looks interesting still! I see Bowser can break blocks, object interaction like this can create fun level gimmicks...

I like it! You seem to have everything the original has. I would highly recommend adding new features. Good luck on this!

I'm getting some SMBX vibes from this, too. I also like how the background color is adjustable, and gameplay seems to be smooth so far. Hammer Bros. jumping on blocks above them is a nice touch.

I saw "Super Mario Bros. NES and Game Builder" yesterday.
Its Game Builder has a similar concept as mine.

It was helpful for reference. thanks :thumbsup:

(And I know SMBX from the past, it is great)

Yesterday, I've completed develop objects of whole stage (1-1 ~ 8-4)
It seems to work fine except some bugs that I found. :p

I will take a rest in few days.
Next step is more tuning, and add some items from other series (Giant mushroom, yoshi, etc).

I'd like to try uploading allow you to experience this project, but I don't know how to. :whoops: :confused:

Hi, Long time no see. :(
I was on vacation and had busy days.

I did worked for User Created Stage & StageSets.
And now I can show you somethings.

Here is a new showcase video from Version 1.2.
Let's go:


(Also linked whole showcase videos, from beginning of development)

1. Classic Game : Just same as SMB1 Stages with save & continue functions.
2. Custom Game : Player can play a custom StageSet. With different UI, etc.
3. Custom Stage : Try a single Stage for high score.
4. Challenge Mode : (Not yet :p)

Hi. It's me again.

I'm working Vehicle system such as Lakitu's cloud, Yoshi, ClownCar, etc..
It's very hard times to work. New system, SMB style Yoshi sprites, ..

Anyway, here is demo video:


(Some modern style effect added too)

This looks amazing! All appears to be working as it should. The only issues I have is that the skid dust effect is too big and the background music seems to have an odd filter.
