Guess what! I played it! So here are my thoughts.

I really love the graphic style in this game, Mario looks so heroic! It was also really fun to play!
I found 1 bugs(?): At the end there is an invisable pit and a viewable one that crashes the game. I think it may have to do with the end of the level but you might want to just add someting that brings you to the menu.

I'm really bad at games so it took me a while to get used to the roll, long jump, ect., but I really liked having those in a 2D Mario game. :)
Also I'm either bad at games or the game is hard. I'll blame the game. It's not the game, it's me

Does the game really need to load stuff or is it there only to look pretty? I like the 3D effect there by the way.

Thanks. It will load external data like character graphics and music but it's useless for now.

I never got the point of artificial loading screens. If you just want it to look pretty just cut the loading text and treat it like a cutscene instead.

Cliax Codec is a combination of top-down and third-person shooter. The gameplay will blend platforming, puzzle and shmup elements together to create a unique gameplay experience. You will take control of four playable characters which rise against a team that seemingly wants to take over the world - but are their motives really that cliché, or are there deeper motives behind their actions?

It will load external files, it won't be totally useless. And...

EDIT: Fixed a stupid typo.

Wouldn't that require threaded loading though, because loading them just like that would just pause the loading screen, making it in turn useless again? I'm not an expert, but I think threaded loading is quite the bit of work and it might not be worth it.

Also, those amps are cool.

Yep.

It's not too hard, mainly because it won't load too much things. And I like little touches like that :3 A 5 seconds long loading screen is better than a 1 second long pause.

Ah, so you're really going for threaded loading? Nice to see. You're shaping up to be a really decent programmer.

Could you provide a non-dropbox link for the demo? Google Chrome is being a whiny idiot and claiming it's malicious. :nope:

Thanks, also this is a part of first level. The first level will have these Power Stars:
Star 1: The Castle After the Flagpole (I really need a better name)
Star 2: Cavern of the Warp Zone
Star 3: Re-encounter With the Lakitu
EDIT: lol I forgot this

Wow, this is REALLY good! I mean, it's so polished and smooth! This here is professional quality.
If this were legally for sale and endorsed by Nintendo, I'd buy it! Especially considering that this
is just an engine test o_o I especially love the lightning effect.
