Oh, side thing, but we need more songs if anyone is willing to make music. Rockythechao from the Talkhaus knocked out a large chunk of the songs we'd need, but theres still a few more if anyone wants to chip in.

The moon, perhaps? Although the tiles don't look very lunar...

I'll be honest, no one will guess it. Not because it's obscure, but because it's something new related to the plot.

Does it take place inside of the Hand of Midas or something? Also, I love the name Dopplegreeder!

Nope, afraid not. Like I said, it's not something someone would guess because it's rather specific, and also tied to stuff we've kept secret.

Also, yeah, I love that name too. Originally I was just calling them 'Greed ______', like "Greed Mario", or "Greed Waluigi", but that was boring.

Oh, as a side note, we are down to two levels that I have to finish (again, not including levels I want to touch up, or any post game levels that I may make (post game levels will basically be mini levels that use gimmicks that I had in mind but couldn't fit in other areas/couldn't make a full level from).

I really love how well the game is coming along!

One question though, do you have a Discord for the game, or considered making one?
I really think it could bring more users together!

I am assuming that this is going to be a extremely long fan game since it has been in development for a long time?

I don't think theres much of a chance of us making one this late into development. Maybe earlier on, but then again, who knows. If we do make one, we'll let y'all know.

It can vary in length depending on what you want to do. Some worlds are basically split in half based on secret exits, plus you can skip the gold mushrooms, so in the end, the game can be very short, but if you try to find everything, I'm sure you can get a lot of hours from it.

I have played it 2 or at least a year ago and from what I've played yes it was long for a demo.

Yeah, each world is roughly the same length as the first two, however later worlds require you to do more levels. For example, the desert world is basically cut in two, meaning that you only have to do half of the levels, the other half being optional, however in later worlds, there will still be splits, but usually only making one or two levels optional at most. So yeah, after world... 3 I think, you will be doing more in each world.

Also, theres the hidden challenge levels, the golden mushrooms, and all the secrets I hid in levels, so theres plenty to do. Theres also a secret room hidden in each world (1 room per world) that will give you some neat backstory on the in game object, the Hand of Midas, that you are collecting.

Would the some of the worlds be similar to the NSMB series, e.g. Ice/Snow, Lava, Sky.

Yes and no. Some of the worlds use themes from the main series, however I've tried to make things varied as far as what sort of levels you will find. For example, theres a jungle world, but it has a lava level, temples, and even a factory.

Really my biggest hope for the game is that it is fairly challenging with levels and bosses

I can't say for certain on the levels since I made them, so they aren't much of a challenge to me since I know where everything is (and this has been my first time making levels), but I can confirm that the bosses offer up a nice challenge. The first two worlds are simple pattern based bosses, but later one we have bosses with a larger movepool that they go through at random, like the boss of world 3, and he is tough and fun.

This is Reminding me of Newer Super Mario Bros Wii but a slight bit better.

This is looking to be one of, if not the best Mario fan game I have ever seen. I think it's even better than Sonic Mania, and that game is pretty great.

Very inspiring.

I'm gonna livestream and review this game on my channel if you don't mind.

Finished another level, and this one is rather fancy.

Image
Diamonds of all sorts decorate this level, and they all serve different functions. The small yellow ones float around, serving as platforms.

Oh yeah, looking at my list, and excluding levels that are basically finished and just need some tweaking, I have... One level left to make for the main game. That said, I'll need to work with Guinea a bit on this last one as it's a bit special.

Is that background final? I feel like it could be more detailed instead of solid gray
