That's pretty cool though. The enemy should react more to being frozen though, like an ice cube on top of the model or a colour change.

Finally figured out animating the roundhouse kick!

Now I just gotta figure out a good way to make a follow-up attack using his bat.

You must've missed quite a few posts then!
Only half the game is in a top-down perspective, while the other half is in a third-person perspective. You are able to switch at certain points in the stages, with each perspective having its own benefits, which are used to create puzzles.

I have not been very active in this topic lately.

Sounds solid tho. Nothing against top-down, but glad there's a mode that lets you properly enjoy the 3D visuals.

i'd definitely expand the range on those punches, you needed to get really up close to sandbag to get any hits in, and if enemies are involved then you risk getting hurt. looks nice so far otherwise, though.

You should also make punch hitbox extend into mario so that if you overlap with an enemy, you can still hit it.

Managed to pull of some pretty solid architecture!

The roofing on the more plain houses need more work though. Roofs are always super hard since you have to make separate pieces for the corners and that sucks.

75% of the houses are made out of pretty textures on simple 4 vertecie plains though, so these buildings are super optimized!

@SAB: I think the punches should be animated faster, otherwise you'd risk endangering yourself to hit an enemy.

I'm hacking SMRPG (again. gasp). This is a two-parter inquiry.

This is what it looks like in game. I've been working with someone named Justin3009 and we implemented a P-Meter in Super Mario RPG, which is basically a regenerating FP gauge for each ally. It would be used for abilities.

That actually I never considered. I forget how it came up, but I had originally planned for individual FP counters, in addition to a "SP" counter, or Star Points, for Super Moves. As things turned, the Star Points were moved to Star Power (before realizing Paper Mario), in place of the individual FP counter. Then came the P-Meter. I think I might stick with the P-Meter to remove similarities with the Star Powers.

Side note, I wanted to still incorporate a kind of Super Moves, but using Cherries instead of Star Points? What do you think? It's all up in the air.

EDIT: New color. Wondering if it is easy on the eyes.
