Way back in 2008, when I was still a game-making greenhorn, I posted a fairly bad platformer about the 2008 election featuring levels based on political hot topics such as the war in Iraq, global warming, and the financial crisis. It was poorly executed and was generally disliked.

As I promised, here's a sequel to that aforementioned bad game, on which I procrastinated indefinitely and is now being released in an untested, incomplete state. In D-S 2012, you collect coins to try to keep the American healthcare system solvent for as long as possible, all while staring at highly cheesy hand-drawn graphics. If people don't hate this minigame with flaming passion, I'll finish up two more levels and add a working playable character and an online high scores feature. Play it if you dare.

There's a new version available with three minigames: In the Obamacare level, you try to keep the healthcare system solvent as long as possible while avoiding the dreaded Budget Deficits and Tax Increases. In Libya, you employ Thwomp-based security to fight off al-Qaeda thugs and Gaddafi's goons that are trying to delete both you and the U.S. embassy. There's a third minigame where you drive Mitt Romney's dog to Canada, but I didn't complete it before the election, and I'm only including as a concept; in its current state, nothing can save you from falling off the Fiscal Cliff.

This game entails a certain degree of self-parody, so don't go in expecting this to be the fanciest game you'll ever see. If you're in the mood for an ultra-strange minigame, though, this may hit the spot.
