I wouldnt respond to most mffgers criticism either. Everytime someone makes and engine, theres always someone saying its the same as his/hello's and then talks trash on it. I dont think its fair to always blame hello for his engines. Its an open source engine that anyone can use and he was nice enough to let anyone who wants have it. Its not his fault others use it. Who cares if it has bugs in it? If you complain about someone using Hellos engine because of how buggy his engine is, its still not Hello's fault. Complain to the person who decided to use his engine and didnt fix the bugs. Im tired of seeing him get bashed on because so many others use his engine, its not his fault no one does anything about it.
edit: Hello just gave you guys an -example- of the stop and swap and the first post was someone bashing on him. Its an example, not a tutorial, not a how to, its meant to show you it and your supposed to do your part and 'try' to understand it. Its like working psuedo code. No one writes(or wants to write) perfect code when making an example....because its an example and you just want it to work.
Phone won't let me shorten it to the first paragraph.
Critique is critique. It's meant to let someone know how their product is, and whether to adapt concrete improvements or not. Hello has created an engine that not only has bugs, but is ridded with coding that is so undesirable that no one would be able to effectively change it, never mind eliminate bugs and fix the physics. It's a pure example of what goes wrong when you market a level editor as a game engine to an adolescent to young adult audience.
I won't comment anymore on this subject matter, because I have already discussed this in another topic more relevant to the nature, that was essentially a summary.
