Isn't that a bit over-emphasized?

Linus Torvalds also names his stuff after himself.
First Linux, then git.

it just screams "i want attention and credit for this work i did"

come on, we already have to put somewhere BIG that it's the engine, we don't have to also have to try to figure out which engine to use for what gameplay type we need when it's solely the name of the user

like i know what engine type it's going to be when you say the Mark, Bob and George engine

"All Mario Engine," now i have an idea of what i'm working with

Ah I get your problem now. It's not the names, but the lack of other description.
So if I named AME GAME instead it would still be ok.

I have to agree,
Placing your own name as the name of an engine is kind of a fat-head thing to do....
Plus it makes things a bit confusing to the downloader.

Hello engine as an example,
If they only saw the name, they wouldent exactly know what they were downloading..
(almost sounds like a beginner guide to the internal combustion engine, if you only look at the name)

now, Im not saying the name should be removed entirely from the engine title, but,
"Mario Engine: By Hello" would make more sence in a case like this. yes?
