It is currently outdated by over a month. I'd recommend updating it with the latest news threads each time one is posted or just leave it empty when nothing's going on.

I always wish there could be a running list of the latest "important" topics so we could feature more than 1 thing in there, or some better way of showing "what's a-happenin' right now" on the forums. Usually with up to 3 or so competitions or other events going at a single time, some end up getting lost.

I believe it's at least semi-automated, but it's evidently broken, so I'm not sure why it hasn't been corrected or at least removed.

From memory it's been broken forever. I think the admins stopped using it for a long while there.

I just updated yet. But yeah, we should either retire this feature or else get better at updating it regularly.
