I recall the suggestion I made for more thread icons, like the WTF? and WII ones. I suggested SWITCH, and an icon was made. But what about others? I had some ideas, like DUMB or STUPID for silly things. But the question is, does having more thread icons affect the site or its resources in a negative way? They're so small, I don't see why adding more would be s bad idea.

Good idea. We could also have "Eeeww" for disgusting ones or "Custom" specially for the Arts Board.

i'd rather just replace them with a traditional tags sytem that uses text strings instead of images.

We actually had a "Dumb" topic icon during the first iteration of the phpBB forums, but Black Squirrel removed it after The Split (probably because he didn't want to encourage people to make "dumb" posts): [img]https://phpbb.mfgg.net/images/icons/misc/dumb.gif[/img] Feel free to make more topic icons, but I can't guarantee that we'll add them, since we already have a lot of topic icons, and people don't use them much. In the long run, we'd be more likely to replace the topic icons with a newer system - such as a post tagging system, especially if it helps SEO.

I really don't think we need a "eeew" "dumb" or "stupid" icon. What kind of topic would use these anyways?

I'm glad that "dumb" icon wasn't used. Walruses should NOT be used to describe "dumb". They are not dumb, your mom is dumb. I'm offended.
