I know I made another suggestion just a little moment ago, but I think this is much more worth discussing. Remember I proposed the creation a [url=https://phpbb.mfgg.net/viewtopic.php?f=65&t=20024]brand new PPP[/url], with another name and other rules? Not many people were in favor of that, because they thought it could get out of control and be nothing but a chaotic, spammy board noetheless. However, just a moment ago everyone was thinking about what to do with the forum games board. Apparently, many people dislike the forum games board, too. Some have even proposed that it should be replaced with the new PPP. Either they think it's driving MFGG's focus away from fangaming, or simply don't find the games to be fun and want something else. So yeah, I don't think we should make thousands of topics about this problem. We should discuss the future of both boards on this one.

I think the Forum Games section would work well as a section as part of the PPP. It just fits there overall.

I don't think the forum games would be as active as they are now if you put them as a section. We could have both boards coexisting together while working separately. That would give a fair amount of activity to both of them.

And you know what? It wasn't a LOL RANDOM piece of crap. It was structured, legible, and not a piece of meme trash. That was supposed to be what others would fear for the new PPP, right? Because this thread was not spammy, just slightly silly. There's definitely no non-serious stuff allowed in the GC and Gaming boards. Yeah, this is the kind of stuff I'd like to see in a PPP. I however had to lock it because the Gaming boards aren't the PPP, and as you said neither is the GC.

I never said I want to forbid fun on MFGG. That's the exact opposite of why you should use a forum. I just think that, you don't need to necessarily change this site so you can funpost here when there's plenty of other websites that allow you to funpost instead. Just use those websites then.

but why can't MFGG have something like this? if it helps build the community and gives people something to do to stay active then why wouldn't we add a PPP? furthermore, how is linking to other sites (including 4chan of all places) going to help when we're losing activity as it is?

Were you there? And what do you lose if there's a PPP? You're not required to visit it, you can just stay in the "super serious discussion" sections where you belong. It was the MFGG userbase that was terrible and toxic in those days, and they were terrible and toxic no matter what forum section they visited. Those members have long since moved on or grown up. What you're suggesting is stupid. MFGG is a community and if people here want to have fun, it's because they want to have fun with THIS community, not go find a brand new community of strangers.

I don't think it's necessarily a bad idea to bring back the PPP but I hardly think we absolutely need one, either. I will however say that bringing back the PPP is a bad idea to attract new users as they'd likely just care about the shitposting and not the fangames.
