If you look onto the game section and click on a game, you'll see two things: Reviews and comments. I personally feel that both have a purpose: to give an opinion.

As such, I feel like they should be merged, so we can read all the reviews without having to click on them.

As for standard comments, there could be a link to the topic on the forums so they won't get thrown in between reviews.

Thoughts?

Uh... no. That would turn the games' pages into huge walls of text.

Don't start with the walls of text ****. There are plenty of review sites that type out walls of text and nobody complains about that, now do they?

Oh, so now I'm not allowed to complain? Not every single site has to do as other sites, you know.

That's true about that, but tbh, what purpose do the comments serve?

Reviews are of major importance than comments. They are made to give you way more details about the games, as well as warning you whether you should play them or not. For example, take this review and compare it to this comment:

See? That's why they should keep being separated.

Saltboy is right, you can't expect everyone to write lengthy reviews. Sometimes you don't want to spend 20 minutes analyzing a game and writing a review for it, and sometimes the language barrier doesn't allow you to write long paragraphs. Besides that, comments don't exist just to give an opinion. They can be used to ask questions, report important bugs and stuff like that.

Unnecessary swearing doesn't make you cool or edgy btw

Reviews and comments will most definitely stay separated.

Cliax Codec is a combination of top-down and third-person shooter. The gameplay will blend platforming, puzzle and shmup elements together to create a unique gameplay experience. You will take control of four playable characters which rise against a team that seemingly wants to take over the world - but are their motives really that cliché, or are there deeper motives behind their actions?

Reviews and comments are two very different things. Yes, some comments provide short critique - suggestions for improving a game, or advice to players on whether this particular game will be worth their time. However, comments serve many other purposes, too - for example, asking for advice on how to beat a difficult boss, or reporting a bug in the game. Another unique property of reviews is that review scores can be aggregated, allowing us to provide average scores for a game and an approximation of a game's overall quality.

Yes, them being seperate is probably for the best.

Comments are a good way to give quick input without going through the entire review process. Vinny is right, they both serve different and important purposes.

I mean you coooould solve the "huge wall of text" problem by just adding a "Show More" button after it exceeds a certain amount of characters, but I'd prefer it if the more well-thought out critiques were separated from the nonsense. It would make it a lot harder to find the reviews from the mindless comments, especially on a popular game.
