I think it might be neat if we had something like this, but instead it's made to help keep track of the status of games on MFGG (which, to me, are an important part of this site, due to the "Games" in the name) when it comes to article coverage in the wiki. Red could mean No Article, yellow could mean Stub Article, and green could mean Complete Article. I could see a couple possible problems with the project, however. It could take a very long time to completely set up, since there is so much games released on MFGG out there (there seems to be at least 1,000 right now), and even if it was all set up with every game submitted to MFGG, the list might look way too long.

I feel like it could make it easier to keep track of what's been covered and what's not been covered, but because of the two problems that went into my mind, I'm kind of in the fence on whether we should do this project or not. What do you guys think?

Well it could be done as long as people add their own games to the list rather than a single person trying to do all the games.

That's a great idea!

Also, is the "ripping project" status still accurate? Are we really missing DK Jr sprites? lol

Nice to see that at least some people like the idea. :)

Yeah, I can see the list getting all set up more quickly if multiple people work together instead of having one person do the whole list.

The Mario Ripping Project seems to have become really outdated, with the last update made to the table in January 9, 2009. I (or someone else) could try to make it up to date one day, although it could take quite a while considering that a lot of rips have been made since early January 9, 2009 (seems to be around 1,000).

Cool idea, though it'd require quite some maintenance I guess

Cliax Codec is a combination of top-down and third-person shooter. The gameplay will blend platforming, puzzle and shmup elements together to create a unique gameplay experience. You will take control of four playable characters which rise against a team that seemingly wants to take over the world - but are their motives really that cliché, or are there deeper motives behind their actions?

I feel like such a large table would fail after the initial push to get it set up.

Why not instead focus on searching through notable games for stubs and picking a handful to do at a time. Once the first batch is expanded upon, look for a few more. Setting up an entire list might be too overwhelming a task.

Hm, that could work. You made me think about this, but instead it features games that have either no article or a stub article. It might encourage members to give the featured games more attention on the wiki, and I can see it taking a lot less work than setting up a giant list. I don't really see anything wrong with doing "Article Drives", so I think that would better to do than the "MFGG Game Article Project". What do you guys think?

I wholeheartedly support any efforts to stimulate activity on the Wiki. The Wiki deserves some love.

However, I'd suggest a "work smarter, not harder" approach. Not every game on MFGG necessarily requires a Wiki page. If you go through the list of games, you'll find a lot of games that are rather nondescript. I think you'd have a hard time coming up with much to write for a lot of the minigames on the site (this is one recent example that comes to mind). I'd focus on games that were reasonably popular, like Game of the Month/MFGG Awards winners. I agree that a good starting point would be to make a "most wanted" list, and then go from there.
