I'm aware of that, but the logo is designed for MFGG3, as it could have minimal material style similar to most websites today. The reason why I redesigned the logo as the current style of the logo features gradients and stuff that's reminiscent of 3D, detailed old style. And it could clash with the minimalistic, simple design principles of today.
We still don't know how would the default skin look like yet, so it's probably a better idea to leave the logo to the person who's going to make the new theme (IF we are getting a new theme at all). But it will look closer to the current theme than
this for sure.
EDIT: Also somewhat unrelated but even though I'll port my unfinished theme to MFGG3 as well, I could help with the default theme if needed.
