I've decided that I'd take a shot in redesigning the logo of our site in the topic of MFGG3 as our logo seemed to be quite outdated. Basically the logo has been adapted for a more flat minimalistic modern look and is reminiscent of newer mario games which features this style. [spoiler][img]http://i.imgur.com/7p6RyRs.png[/img][/spoiler] There are two versions, one is colourful like the newer mario games and other is similar to the current one. The text is white in both as yellow didn't look quite right on both of these logos. Download is provided for those who want to use it or modify it. The problem is it doesn't match the style of the forums or mainsite. You'd need to make a brand new skin for that.

The reason why I redesigned the logo as the current style of the logo features gradients and stuff that's reminiscent of 3D, detailed old style. And it could clash with the minimalistic, simple design principles of today.

And it could clash with the minimalistic, simple design principles of today.[/quote]We still don't know how would the default skin look like yet, so it's probably a better idea to leave the logo to the person who's going to make the new theme (IF we are getting a new theme at all). But it will look closer to the current theme than [url=http://i.imgur.com/8OpztNO.png]this[/url] for sure. EDIT: Also somewhat unrelated but even though I'll port my unfinished theme to MFGG3 as well, I could help with the default theme if needed.

Actually, I say that the best thing to do is to start brainstorming on a new theme now. A new logo, color scheme, etc. I'm no designer, myself.

Some Material Design or Metro influences would look cool too.

I like the one we currently have better.

Here's a fun did you know. I had a freakout the first time they tried to change the logo. I never liked changing layouts of things. But skins, oh yes, do have!
