and for that matter, march madness not being a poll what is the point of doing a poll if we just throw out the built-in poll mechanic altogether but even so, even if there is absolute necessity to mario march madness being organized the way it is, why is a [b]forum game[/b] in general chat and not... you know... [i]the forum called forum games[/i] it's just cluttering up the general chat on the main index for no real reason

There's been big forum events before that arent just relegated to a forum game thread. I've been in talks with VinnyVideo about this since like November or so. As for the polls... I think the same reason as why official competition threads dont have them, is because it's easy to fake duplicate votes with alternate accounts. ...not that that's probably happened in forever, but just to make sure. Oh and not to mention the need for 63 threads.

generally speaking though, i think nobody likes that the march madness event is cluttering up the general chat, it kind of makes it so that a march madness vote post is always the last post in the gc on the main index which is really stupid as for it being easy to fake votes, i'm going to be honest with you: nobody cares [i]that[/i] much about a character poll on a fansite to stuff the ballot, not a single person ever

March Madness has temporarily been relocated to the Forum Games section. We have plans to make it its own forum, but a banner needs to get made for it first.

Hey um, since the move to the forum games, participation has been dropping somewhat... I thought that would happen if it was put in forum games, but I wasn't sure if it would. The second layer of the tournament is happening soon, so that would be a good idea to give it a little more profile. I can make a quick and dirty banner, though I don't knowif it will match the theme of the others. EDIT: Here's one. It doesnt look like the others but this is just a tempo thing anyway so I hope it's ok.
