If they don't vote for you it's not because they don't like your entry, they vote other things because they like them more and think that they are better, and, even if they are, that shouldn't discourage you. It's better to see the competitions as an opportunity to practice and see how good you are at things (music, coding, drawing, etc), a "you either win or you learn" kind of thing. Don't take it personally if you lose, and knowing who voted for who wouldn't matter, because they won't vote based on who is their friend and who isn't, they vote the entry, not the person (except when it's the MFGG Awards, but there they vote for what they do not for who they are).
