It would ultimately depend on how busy I get down the line if I participate (but things are turning around so I should be able to do it in the near future). I was actually planning to launch a new Joke Game Competition tomorrow, so I don't know if that would affect participation. I like the sound of keeping people more in touch with progress, though.

That reminds me of another thing I neglected to bring up. We've got THREE game-making comps going. Based on activity right now I think we should look into retiring at least one of them.

We should get rid of the minigame competitions. Then loosen up the rules of Super Competitions to allow for any sized team so you can team up with as many members as you like. Make a stacked team. Team up with friends. Team up with other coders and learn something. Use the competition to scout for more members to help make a full game. Maaaybe we'll end up with a war between cliques. Sounds fun to me.

I do like competitions, and I've never managed to enter a game one. Though I'm positioned decently to do so at the moment.

I'll probably be posting the super comp soon.

I want people to have lots of time to finish so timeline will probably look something like maybe a week to sign up and post a concept and maybe four weeks to actually make the game. That should be plenty of time to really make something SUPER!

^ Would probably be wiser to just have a kick-ass theme so you also get the participants

Not today, my friend. We're shaking up the status quo! We're trying something new! We're throwing video games at the wall to see what sticks!

Music is hard and a rare skill and is largely the reason why I've never entered a Super Comp. Can the next comp not require a custom sound?

Agreed. At best, maybe bonus points for unique music and sound.

Music currently is required by rule in these contests, but seeing as though there aren't a whole bunch of active musicians here, I'd be fine with allowing more flexibility in this category (like remixes are okay or something similar)
