Do you know how in the drawing comp. people made their own Mario brother? Well, how about making your own Mario ABILITY? You can draw it out, make a sprite, anything that's easy for you to create. Just make sure not to steal anything from others on the site, as if someone used an idea you had and you didn't post about it, that means it's taken, and you can't post it, or else it'll be seen to others as stealing (probably). However, you CAN use ones you've seen on YouTube, or take one ability (from the Mario series, or from someone not in MFGG), and make it into your own version. Like, you can take the Fire Flower and turn it into a Blaze Flower that sets Mario on fire for a few seconds, much like Wario in the Wario Land games. Just make sure it fits into the Mario series (And I mean ANYTHING in the Mario Series, like it can be from a spin-off game (Kart, Tennis, etc.), just not any other games like Luigi's Mansion or, as said before, Wario Land). So, without further ado, I will start us off. (Also, yes you can make an ability based off of another video game character or their power-ups in their games, like a Sonic Suit or a Mega Buster or something.:laugh:) This is the Trap Cage, a small cage able to give Mario the ability to throw cages at enemies, catch them in them, and throw them at other enemies. Like the Ice Flower, they're able to stop enemies dead in their tracks. Unlike the Ice Flower, the captured enemies can be thrown around and hit walls 3 times before breaking and destroying the enemy inside. This sounds like a good thread to steal ideas from, mainly a type of idea we are usually looking for when making fangames like power-ups... This knight suit power-up gives him a sword and a shield. He can block enemies projectiles like small fireballs or iceballs with his shield, but it won't help against hammers or big fireballs. With the sword, he can slash out enemies easily (Sounds kind of overpowered though). [size=50]I allow any of you to freely steal this one[/size]

sorry to bump this thread but i think designing powerups could be fun so i made one called earth mario [img]http://i.imgur.com/smEFrlw.png[/img] you can see the actual design of earth mario, the earth mushroom and a little sprite demonstration. i think the rock projectiles would go straight for a few seconds and then fall down and break into a small explosion.
