It's here! The MFGG Super Mario Maker contest!
We're having a site and forum wide contest to design the best level based on your votes.
Rules!
The theme of this contest is:
None! If we have other contests we might have themes or parameters, but this one I wanted to be purely any level.
-Use only your own levels.
-Post your level codes here! Thumbnails optional.
-Don't make automatic Mario levels, those are in a class of their own. Normal levels only.
-Entries will be accepted until
October 6th, that's two weeks. Voting starts that day.
-Only one level per user. If you want to change your level you have to cancel the first one.
-Voting will be based on what you believe is your favorite level.
Here are some loose guidelines for voting for your favorite:
-
Design: A well designed level is always good. A good theme, a good play feel.
-
Challenge: More difficult levels are usually better than really easy levels. Though keep in mind Kaizo-y levels might be TOO tough...
-
Low spamminess: If you clutter the level with way too many enemies, it might not be as good. There's challenge and there's crazy.
-
Enjoyability: The right amount of design, challenge, and feel will make the level more enjoyable to play.
Special Competition badges will be given out for first, second, and third through fifth place.
This isn't meant to clash with the Privana contest, that's a multi-forum contest. This is MFGG only.
Now questions:
1. Once it's voting time, I'm torn if I should make an account for votes to be PM'ed to that I would manage, or if it should be public, because I don't know if that would sway things if it were to be public. What should I have?
2. If we have more Mario Maker contests, should we have a new designated badge for them? Like Minigame, Sprite, so on?
