Post subject: | MFGG's Badge Guide |
Dear Newcomers! In order to motivate our members to contribute to both the mainsite, forums, and wiki, and to honor our helpers with a visual token representing their good deeds, we have a badge system. Badges are displayed underneath your profile picture. Some are easy to get, some are near impossible. Find your way and maybe you too will once start counting badges in rows instead of one by one So that you know what you have to do to get one of those, here is a handy little guide. If you see somebody with a badge that is not on this list, don't be afraid to PM an admin or moderator. Same if any of the descriptions is unclear. We are happy to update this list as needed. Gotta catch 'em all! Quote: Staff badges You only get those as site or forum staff. Just so you know what they mean: Founder* Webmaster/Tech Admin Administrator Moderator Site Staff Sysop Retriever II* You only get this if you're Retriever II. Social Media Manager User Badges You can earn these by taking part in competitions or contributing to the forum or mainsite. Big Help You get this if you've made a special contribution to the MFGG mainsite and/or forums. This badge is only awarded by hand, so if you get it, it means a lot. Submitter Badges These are automatically synced with your main site account (if you have linked your mainsite profile in the forum profile settings). As soon as your first submission has been accepted, you will receive the first submitter badge. Once you reached 100 submissions, you get the Super Submitter badge. Only very few members don this badge, so if you ever get one of those: Good job! Super Reviewer This badge is awarded to those who submit a lot of reviews. Happy Hearts You get these badges for posting regularly and not getting warned in a long time. Wiki Contributor If we see you contribute to the Wiki a lot, we will give you this badge. A minimum of 750-1,000 quality edits is generally the benchmark for earning this badge. CFP Helper* People who participated in the Community Fangame Project receive this. Iso Collab Contributor People who participated in the Community Isometric Collaboration. Sprite Competition Badges You get these for winning first, second, or third to fifth place in a Sprite Competition. Minigame Competition Badges Those are awarded to the winner, runner-up, and third to fifth place winner in a Minigame Competition. Music Competition Badges Get handed out to the first, second and third to fifth place winners in a Music Competition. Drawing Competition Badges These go to the first, second and third to fifth place winners in a Drawing Competition. Special Competition Badges These go to the first, second and third to fifth place winners in a Special Competition. Super Competition Badges These go to the first, second and third to fifth place winners in a Super Competition. NCFC Contributor If you had a booth at NCFC, you get this badge. Secret Santa You receive one of these, if you participate in the annual Secret Santa event. Event Winner After a competitive forum event, this badge gets awarded to its winner(s). Egg Hunter & Pro Egg Hunter These badges are awarded to everyone who could crack at least one or respectively all of the Easter Eggs in an Egg Hunt forum event. Skull & Golden Skull These are awarded to participants and winners of Halloween events respectively. E3 Bingo Winner You receive this one if you get a "Bingo" on the annual MFGG E3 Bingo. Game Of The Month You win this if your game gets picked for Game of the Month. To qualify for this staff-picked award, you must upload your game to the mainsite or forum in that month. If no game was uploaded that month, an older submission or a game from the forum, including non-Mario games, can be picked. Even if your game was the only one uploaded to the mainsite/forum for that month, it may not get picked if the quality does not meet our standards. MFGG Awards Win in any category of the annual MFGG Awards and you shall receive the badge of that year. Good Citizen An ancient deprecated badge. It used to be an incentive to contribute positively. Holiday Tree A badge received for participating in the annual Holiday Tree event. *These badges cannot be earned because there is only one Retriever II and only one TD, and the CFP is over. |
