Easter egg hunts should be more fun than this
But puzzles are fun!

found myself having to decipher more about the actual post than the puzzle because nothing was really explained that clearly.
There was a number of hints added to the posts over the course of the day. People were able to complete the puzzles with minimal hints without too much issue. The spider cutting puzzle is probably the most awkward of the set of 15. I do not want to give out more hints than needed because then the event becomes a time waster where you just have to go through the actions rather than use your brain to think.

Is a 10,000 word essay or chemistry test next?
No but the one heaviest in math is yet to come.

Also you might have explained beforehand that there's really no point continuing on with it if the reward is first come first serve. If you were going to spend money on Steam keys (unless they were doubles) it might've been better spent commissioning an artist to draw an MFGG desktop or something that anyone could download if they completed the puzzles. At least then everyone who solves those puzzles wins!
I am working with the staff to add badges for the event. You will get a badge for every egg you post in. They will add together like the competition badges do, so if you post in all of the eggs you will have a little "x5" in the corner.

Also the thing is flawed because people can just view "who's online" to see people viewing old posts. Doesn't help solving the puzzles but you can skip straight from post 1 to 3 without solving anything if you wait it out.
This is not really too big of an issue. For a big thread you will need to hunt through to find the post with the puzzle. You also won't know the number of the puzzle. After Day 2 begins there may be people working on more than one set of puzzles so you may not even know which egg it belongs to.
