Post subject:  Sonic 1 Poll
Already did it on MFGG's (unofficial) Discord, so why not here?

What's your favorite Sonic the Hedgehog 1 zone? Mine is Star Light zone, as the design of everything is great. The music itself is amazing as well, I can't stop listening to it.

The first level is usually the best level in Sonic games for me, sooooo...Green Hill.


(It's also because I don't have the patience to get through the whole game)

I'm with you here! Except I don't have the patience to get through a single level. Never got into Sonic... :S

Marble Zone has the nicest music, but level and gameplay wise I really enjoy Scrap Brain oddly enough.

Though if we were talking about music for Sonic 1 on the Master System then Scrap Brain all the way.

I surprised how many people chose Green Hill Zone since a lot people are bashing Sonic Team for constantly using that level in there games. :/ I picked Marble Zone mostly due the atmosphere and how underrated it is.

I like Green Hill but I don't quite think that means every Sonic game needs to have GHZ in it. Come up with some new levels, eh?

That's what I said. Then a few days later, I beat Sonic 1. Now I wanna vote Final Zone because of how easy it is...but I can't! :(

Green Hill is a good Grassland type level, yes. However, using it as the Grassland type level in almost every recent Sonic game is getting old. I'd love to see an HD imagining of Angel Island Zone, after all. Or a brand new Grassland type level with some neat ideas.

I voted for Star Light but i meant Spring Yard though, if not just for the music only. Sounds like a michael jackson B-side or something.


Shame I haven't played it since I was 8 though because Marble zone sucks and I can never get past it.

You can just use the level select cheat and skip to whatever zone you want

It's what I do when I feel like playing Sonic 1 but when I'm too lazy to get through most of the game to get to what I wanted to see again. It's technically cheating but the game has no save feature so you know

I should replay Sonic. I was never into it but I should give it at least one more good chance before I just conclude that I don't like it.

This goes for Kirby as well

EDIT: Also I was one of the people who voted for marble

People go into Sonic 1 with the Sonic 2/3 mindset and that causes people to not like it as much. But its a great game, more patience based then the other games.
I would normally vote greenhill but its been forced down our throats so much that I gotta give it to marble

Every time I think about replaying Sonic 1 I remind myself of Marble and Labyrinth Zones and these silly fleeting thoughts leave me immediately.

I really did like the chaos emerald game in 1 though. It was nice.
