No, seriously.


Don't get me wrong, I bought a Wii recently and now I'm mowing the lawn to get as many games as I can from it. But really, I keep wondering why the Big N hasn't shut it down yet. The Wii-Fi connection got shut down almost 5 years ago, the DSi shop channel also got shut down in March, and even the Wii U itself has been discontinued, yet this thing is still up? Does anyone have any idea of why?

Not sure, but I'm really glad it's still up! Probably doesn't cost much, and it's a big piece of history.

Well I bet the DSi Shop also costed pennies to run on, yet it got shut down (and was even newer than the Wii Shop, actually). What's the big difference between both shops to get one shut down and the other one not?

No idea, but I'm glad it still is.

Nintendo should totally add a "Wii Shop Channel Music" option to the Swtich eShop, btw

Short answer is that the WiiU's Wii Mode uses it
it will probably go down when the WiiU eShop does

This and the fact that most DSi shop titles were moved to 3DS eShop sometime before DSi shop ended, so there wasn't really a need for it anymore, but there's still only one way to get Wii shop downloads

I'm glad Wii VC is still around. It was the best VC in its time before Nintendo learned to HOLD ONTO THEIR GAMES TO SELL TINY PLUG N' PLAYS

I agree, I think the Wii VC has some great selections so I'm very glad it's still around

Yeah even though you can only add Wii points until March 2018, making such long lifespan completely useless.

I'm seriously clueless about what games should I buy from it, specially when it comes to WiiWare titles. I wonder what'll happen to those by the way. Not really expecting to see them coming back on Switch.

Would any of you guys mind telling me which are the best VC/Wiiware titles I should buy before it gets shut down?
