So lately I've realized I'll play games and never quite get to the end of them. I play them for a few weeks or something will come up in my personal life and I just never play the game again. It's a real pain. I feel worthless cause of it. I know that's weird to say but I'm a gamer. I want to beat games completely, it sucks when I don't. So all of you: do you complete most or try to complete every game you play?

I'm a completionist at times. I can't think of a game I've actually 100%'d but I've put in effort to do it before.

Ocarina of Time is a game where I like getting as much as I can.

I've never gotten all 120 stars in SM64, but I have gotten 116. Some day I'll do it.

Depends how fun the game is. I like to complete games when it's fun to do so, maybe not to 100% but I like to do as much as I can. In Breath of the Wild I made sure to do every single shrine, but there's no way I'd bother getting every Korok seed. I definitely got 100% in Paper Mario TTYD and the first two Metroid Prime games.

Usually I complete all the levels in a game, but completely ignore the achievements if they are too hard/take too long to achieve.

I really should play the thousand year door on my Wii. It seems like a sweet classic gem

I am. It depends on the game, but if it's heavy on collectibles then I try to get 100%. I usually don't care about hard modes that don't change much. And some games just demand too much.

I'm currently working on Pokemon Emerald.

-Some games I've 100%-
Zelda OoT, MM, LA, OoS, OoA, WW, ALBW
Spyro Trilogy
Mario Galaxy, NSMB, NSMBW, Advance 2 3 and 4
Pokemon Gold
Sonic Adventure DX
Paper Mario TTYD
Rayman 2
Tearaway

-Some games on hold-
Xenoblade Chronicles
Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (Currently on G3 I think)
Shadow of the Colossus
Smash Bros Brawl
Zelda SS (hard mode)
Pokemon Colosseum, XD
Sonic Heroes (Story mode burned me out)

-Some games I'll never complete-
Guitar Hero 3 (TTFAF and some expert 5 stars)
Sonic Adventure 2
Rayman 1
Assassin's Creed
Simulation games like Zoo Tycoon

Ah yeah I got 100% on Mario Galaxy too, forgot about that one. Oddly enough I never did 100% on MG2 despite the fact that I liked the levels a lot more.

Oh and how could I forget getting 101% on Donkey Kong 64. Probably one of the first games I ever did 100% if you don't count shorter games in the Master System era. This was back in the day before widespread internet usage and certainly before youtube so I was determined to get 101% so I could see the super hidden endings. These days there's less incentive for things like that when you can just look it up instead.

Like everyone else, it depends if I enjoy the game and want to do things that don't take a whole lot of time (or are just plain brutal) and are still fun. Even things like the green stars in Super Mario Galaxy 2 were fun to me because it was basically a scavenger hunt, and all worth it for the final challenging level. Of course there are other games I've 100% and still had fun along the way like:

Yoshi's Island (original),
Super Meat Boy,
Most Kirby games,
Mario Galaxy 1,
and some others

But if there's something hidden in the game I can't legitimately find that is required for 100% completion, I just give up and come back to it later (because who likes cheaters?)

Yes.
At least, when it's feasible.
Sorry Pokemon games. Your Battle Tower is not only real tough, but reportedly cheats!

It depends on the genre. Platformers I usually try to 100%. The lastest game that I completed was Snake Pass.

Depends on the game and the reward for 100% completion, but most often I do not bother.

It's rare that I take the time to complete a game 100%, unless there's a special reward for doing so. I've done this with a lot of the older Mario, Zelda, and DKC games. There aren't as many recent games on which I've reached 100%, since newer games tend to include a lot more achievements and collectibles.

I still need to go back and 100% some of the Kirby games, which usually have a "true final boss" for those who find everything.

I've completed DKC2, once. And I think Super Metroid as well, but I cannot remember! I've beaten Kirby Super Star 100% on all three files before, too.

Ratchet and Clank 2 was also 100%'d. Probably some others as well. Melee?

When it comes to something like BotW, I question how possible it would be to 100% it. Does that include breaking every mineral rock? Getting every color clothing? Having used every weapon, bow, shield? Killing every non-regenerating enemy?

No, I never complete anyth

In all seriousness... it depends on the game! I've 100%'d all of the Metroid Primes (including 101%'ing Prime 2), a few Zeldas, a fair amount of Mario titles, and both Sonic Adventure games. In general, however, I'm not super-obsessed with 100%'ing a game.

Falcon Punch is the result of the Sun heating fists. It drives the Blue Falcon. Heating causes destruction of water into the pain, where it then hurts, creating rain. Rain creates flowing water in tears, which can then be converted into other forms through more pain.

I will say that games that let you get more health like Zelda, Metroid etc I tend to try and complete 100% before the end boss because I want to be as powerful as possible before the final fight.

I'm the same way. Generally Metroid is nice cause you can start off at the very last save station after you beat the game.

Not anymore, for the most part. Like the OP I tend to abruptly quit games, so I'm lucky if I finish them at all. Games like Zelda and Metroid that tug at my desire to collect everything make it even worse, because I will inevitably stop collecting everything and never play the end level as a result.
