Star Fox 2!!!

I've thought for years that Nintendo needs to just go ahead and release it. Isn't this the first official release?

I'll probably get this just because of convenience and how many games it has.

It IS the first official release. According to someone whose name I forgot Nintendo had the full game's ROM lying around, rather than the one that's floating around on the internet right now.

Is it my imagination, or is Nintendo catering to the fans far better than they have in the past? Star Fox 2 has been the dream of many hardcore Star Fox fans for ages! As such, this seems like a moment pigs officially pass their flying tests!

Star Fox 2... hooray?
I never played any Star Fox, but that's cool I guess.

Either way, I'm probably gonna pick this up because it's cute and there's quite a few games on it I like (and that I never played but want to check out).

Cliax Codec is a combination of top-down and third-person shooter. The gameplay will blend platforming, puzzle and shmup elements together to create a unique gameplay experience. You will take control of four playable characters which rise against a team that seemingly wants to take over the world - but are their motives really that cliché, or are there deeper motives behind their actions?

Star Fox 64 is one of the best Nintendo games ever. I highly recommend it.

Star Fox SNES is good for if you want more. It's harder to put up with the textureless polygons and slideshow framerate though.

EDIT: in fact, one of my first posts on here under this account was about Star Fox 64

$80 for 10 less games and a system that you likely won't find? Sign me the hell up! Who needs Switch Virtual Console news?

As cool as a completed Star Fox 2 is, I'm also just as happy they're finally re-releasing Star Fox 1! It's never been on Virtual Console so I'll finally have a chance to play it. Keyword being chance, because I'm pretty sure this is gonna sell out faster than the NES Classic ;_;

It's extremely interesting that they're actually releasing StarFox 2. I always thought they should, but I never thought I'd see the day where it actually happened. Maybe Fay and Miyu will appear in a canon game now.

For the rest of the system, I'm not sure. I own most of these games already.

I was thinking of buying this (if it's actually available) just so I can flash it. It's bound to be more powerful and have more storage than the NES Mini, so just imagine playing NES and SNES games with accurate emulation on this thing.

A decent list of games, most of which I already own though. Shame to only get single entries in some franchises like Donkey Kong or Mega Man. Was also hoping they'd opt to include some JP only games that'd been translated like Sieken Densetsu 3 or Tales of Phantasia.

Still, if I can mod this thing, it might be worth picking it up.

I was hoping for that title, too; however, I considered it wishful thinking at best. Besides, it's already incredible enough that Nintendo is releasing Star Fox 2, so let's have them work on one miracle at a time.

We aren’t providing specific numbers, but we will produce significantly more units of Super NES Classic Edition than we did of NES Classic Edition.

Super Nintendo Entertainment System: Super NES Classic Edition is currently planned to ship from Sept. 29 until the end of calendar year 2017. At this time, we have nothing to announce regarding any possible shipments beyond this year.

In other words, if you're at all interested, get in now.

Got mine preordered. Wasn't sure if I wanted it that badly, but I figure if I can mod this thing then that automatically validates the purchase.

Also Japan has a few different games to us:
Quote:
Super Mario World
F-ZERO
The Legend of the Mystical Ninja
Super Ghouls ‘n Ghosts
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past
Super Soccer
Contra III: The Alien Wars
Super Mario Kart
Star Fox
Star Fox 2
Secret of Mana
Mega Man X
Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem
Super Metroid
Final Fantasy VI
Super Street Fighter II
Donkey Kong Country
Panel de Pon
Super Mario RPG
Kirby Super Star

The Japanese miss out on Earthbound, Super Castlevania IV, Super Punch-Out, Kirby’s Dream Course from the Mini SNES.

Seeing that makes me really upset that they didn't think to include Tetris Attack or Dr. Mario or even just Tetris. This compilation is missing a good puzzle game.

No Phantom 2040 not interested

In all seriousness, it is interesting that it doesn't include the full Donkey Kong Country trilogy. I'm in the same boat as a lot of other people, I'd get one to flash-cart-mod the hell out of it, buuuuuuuuuuuuuuut considering the mass takedowns of games lately, I think I'm out of luck on that front.

Falcon Punch is the result of the Sun heating fists. It drives the Blue Falcon. Heating causes destruction of water into the pain, where it then hurts, creating rain. Rain creates flowing water in tears, which can then be converted into other forms through more pain.

Trailer's been released:

A cartridge fell out so it wasn't included in the console. Who knows what game did it contain.

My guess is that it'll be suprisingly sold out quickly and scalpers are ready to raise their prices through the roof. I think it's going to be a while before I ever see a SNES classic on store shelves.

What else would you expect from the Big N anyway.

They need to make as little as possible so that you can try hours and hours to find one at a sane price.
