Accolade is still around? Seriously? Also, just hearing news of this... "comeback"... has me gravely concerned about this announcement itself.

If you're trying to imply that Accolade is still alive then you're wrong. A while ago all the rights of Bubsy was purchased by Billionsoft, which resulted with Bubsy Two-Fur's release. The fact they didn't use the name Accolade for Two-Fur suggests that they bought the name rights of Accolade somewhat recently. They don't even have the proper domain of Accolade yet, http://www.accoladegames.com is literally just a shady flash games site while http://www.accoladegame.com is their proper website.
The original Accolade was bought by Infogrames years ago.

Oh also, you can't escape from criticism by claiming it was sarcasm while it was clearly not.

Alright, alright, that's enough.

To try and get things back on topic, I'll be going into this one cautiously optimistic. It is made by the developers of Gianna Sisters: Twisted Dreams, so maybe it'll be good.

I am genuinely hoping this game os good. The prospect of walking out of 2017 with the revelation that a Bubsy the Bobcat revival turned out to be above-average has too much potential for comedy gold.

All I can remember of Twisted Dreams was the horrible squeaking noises the protagonists made at the ends of levels.

Wow, so this is a thing. This is actually a thing. Very interesting. I hope this winds up being at least somewhat decent. I have no expectations in either direction.

I'm among the like 9 people on the entire planet that like at least one Bubsy game unironically, and have since way back when. I still have both Genesis cartridges. First game is just too hard and oh god the air physics they make little you think there's something wrong with your controller, while the second one I honestly always liked and still do.

...maybe a 4/10 on Gamespot.
And disappointing profit numbers.

However, I've grown to like Bubsy in sort of an ironic, memetic loser sort of way. Not that his games are any good, but Bubsy is sort of an icon. In a dubious way.

I'm pretty sure the only reason this game is using Bubsy is so people pay attention to this mediocre game.
So far it looks just like Twisted Dreams minus the Kickstarter money.

It'll probably end up being a 5/10 but will sell anyway because it's a Bubsy game people must own for ironic reasons.
