Nice job on the review-y things. There's a good amount of detail, and I like that you do a fair job of addressing the pros and cons of each game. I need to finish PM:TTYD someday, and I definitely need to get Tropical Freeze a try.

I know much has been said about Other M, but you did a good job of deconstructing the astonishing number of ways it went badly wrong. I've never heard of Shank, but it certainly looks really cool.

And yes, Shank is a lot of fun. Extremely short, you can easily beat it in a single evening, but it's a great beat-em-up. Great reviews, reading the Super Metroid review right now! :)[/quote] I'll admit I have a soft-spot for Fusion since it was my first Metroid, but even so, it's solidly built and is a stellar example of what Other M tried and failed to be. And it's a testament to how good Super Metroid is when the first time I'd ever played it was when it finally released on the Wii's Virtual Console and I still had a blast playing it. Heck, when taking screenshots I had to remind myself every so often to actually do so.

Fusion is also the first Metroid I played. Besides Metroid 2 for a bit when I was too young to understand it. I liked Fusions emphasis on plot. It wasn't executed as well as it could have been in that regard though. Too much text you're required to read. Prime did better in that way as the story was non-intrusive. My Metroid has a basic story a lot like Prime. I find lore a really interesting addition to the canon. But honestly, if Fusion had a remake with the gameplay of Prime it would be amazing. Nothing Id program not due to lack of skill (I'm a good learner) but because I would never do it justice. Still I hope Nintendo does that or someone else someday. With the way fa games are progressing it seems highly plausible.

Great review of Other M, definitely not the best game from what I've gathered. I might just stay away from the game completely when I get my Wii U (finally).

pretty good reviews from what I've read, website itself could look prettier though (banner with artwork instead of just text and grey background) but it ain't offensive to eyeballs surprised you jumped straight into Dong Freeze instead of starting with Dong 3D/Wii tho
