I would have shared this devastating turn of events sooner, had I not been in complete and utter shock and disbelief... with the reality now setting in, I am informing you all at Jon's request. Chris Hedgie was a cool guy for the short time I knew of him back in the old days. :( I will keep his family and friends in my thoughts.

Sorry to hear about that. My condolences to his family and friends. I never knew Chris very well - I think our interactions were limited to me posting in a few of his topics and wishing him happy birthday on Skype. He always seemed like a cool guy, and he will be missed.

That seems to be a very sad day. I didn't know he used to be a member in this on-going community until now. Hopefully he'll rest well in heaven and be remembered forever... :(

Like VinnyVideo, I too, never knew Chris Hedgie well. Unlike Vinny, I never interacted with him. In spite of that, it is horrible to hear the news of a well-respected member of this community passing away... as such, I offer my condolences to DJ Yoshiman and his family.

I definitely remember hearing he was sick, but even being prepared for this kind of outcome doesn't make it any better.[/font]

Chris was an amazingly light hearted guy from the interactions I had with him through Minecraft, Deviant, Twitter and of course MFGG through the years, especially when you knew of his history. Didn't know him as well as I'd have liked to but when I found out about his passing a couple of days ago I still found myself shedding tears in the bathroom when I had a few moments alone to process it. He wasn't that active here in recent times but he was still one of the MFGG family to me, one that'll be sorely missed. My thoughts are definitely with his brother and family.

It's a shame to see something like this happen to someone as young as that. Like a lot of people I didn't know him super too well, but he was a pretty swell fella from the few times I directly interacted with him and I'm sad to hear this. My thoughts are with his family, and may he rest well.

For a second I thought we were mourning chris-chan, but no Chris Hedgie from the little I've seen/heard about him was a good guy all around. My thoughts are with his family & friends.

Ouch. It's unusual for me to see such a tragic situation taking place here. My condolences :( . Didn't even know about him though, so I don't really think I should say anything.

I've kept it brief so far since it's a difficult situation to put into words, but from what (sadly little) I saw from him over the years, he always struck me as a well-put-together human being. It's people like Chris Hedgie that make pokey little message boards in the far corners of the internet just that little bit brighter. Our loss truly is heaven's gain. It's been a pleasure.
