Been thinking about this a lot in my spare time, and, in a fair fight...who could Mario actuathally beat? In my mind, I pit him up against Naruto Uzumaki from the famous series Naruto and.....lets just say the results were less than stellar from our Italian brother. I even tried to pit him up against famous MMA fighter Connor McGregor and he only BARELY won after being in a choke hold for about 10min. So I ask you, is Mario really all that tough and who could he win against? Could he beat you in a fight?

Well, considering that he can break bricks with his fist, smash sturdy wooden crates with his hiney, jump 16 feet into the air, pick up and throw monsters four times his own size dozens of meters, and sometimes shoot fireballs out of his hands, I'd say he'd be a...pretty good match for just about anyone, actually. The only real weakness that he has is his relative fragility, but even then, that's only a mechanic in the 2D games; in 3D games, he can take all sorts of inhuman punishment and then instantly heal his injuries by picking up spare change that he finds lying around. If we're going to go by the one-or-two-hits-and-he's-dead rule, though, and we assume that he doesn't get any power-ups for the sake of fair play, I suppose it would come down to who got the first hit in. As for me, I'm pretty sure that my delicious meaty filling would spray out all over the place like a stomped jelly donut if Mario hit me with any one of his attacks. I mean I'm not necessarily a super-wimpy guy, but I'm definitely nowhere near as durable as a solid block of bricks or an anthropomorphic Galapagos tortoise.

Mario isn't really the strongest game character around by any means, but given that he can reduce a creature to a pancake with relative ease, he's still nobody I'd probably want to tangle with.

He's pretty tough in the Mario RPGs. I could easily see Mario curbstomping a normal person with the skillset from Super Mario RPG or Mario & Luigi.

I think it depends on the iteration of Mario: [b]SMB Mario[/b] -Can jump high. -able to continuously regenerate anywhere mushrooms are readily available. -any collision with hazard while not maintaining downward vertical momentum results in immediate death. -must win in 300 seconds or face immediate death. [b]SM64 Mario[/b] -can back flip to safety. -can completely recover by picking up loose change. -can backwards long-jump into stairs to clip through walls (great way to confuse opponents). -good taste in italian dishes. [b]NSMB Mario[/b] -a lot like SMB mario, but can butt stomp and wall kick now. -still needs to win in a time limit. -can encase self in bubble to protect self from fatal attacks (but forfeits the match). [b]Smash Mario[/b] -Invulnerable as long as no out-of-bounds areas are declared. -Has an extensive arsenal of moves from various games. -Great for beginners! -Can taunt afterwards if he wins.

it depends if mario is fast enough he could stomp on kirby and squish him if he's not fast enough, or too close then he would get swallowed by kirby and die painfully [b]in HELL[/b] i mean inside kirby

kirby needs to be jumped on at least 6 times for his HP to run out. And if this is Superstar Kirby, he can block, knocking him back and giving him a chance to inhale. Mario does not stand a chance.

Sonic would beat Mario easily, because he loses rings when hit and can get them back, and he rolls into a ball.
