Russia has stated that Vlad might have killed Mr. Baghdadi, the leader of ISIL.

Even if that's true, they'll probably get a new leader in a day or two.

I like how biased those poll answers are.

The problem with killing him is not that it's immoral, it's that someone else will take his place. Perhaps capturing him might have proved more useful and lead to capturing other key leaders.

It's clear that wouldn't work; considering they are extremely loyal to Allah and their ISIS comrades, in such a manner that led them to become a type of religion totalitarism. Whoever the leader is, they would die before betraying the whole cause behind their stance in the world.

Also, note that they actually aren't Muslims. That's a cliche that people are taking online, but the truth is, Muslims are peace-loving people forbidding the killing of the innocent. I am friends with quite a handful of Muslims, so I am familiar with them~

I'd like to correct that one, because this sounded quite wrong on most levels. There's different types of Islams, as like all other religions. You shouldn't be categorizing them all as a single one, but rather as a single family of different religions. And that's where the that quote gets wrong in majority of the media, and thus making people to believe in the wrong fact.

I'm pretty sure that ISIS or ISIL has some sort of a religion, but more of "extreme" and radical version of a certain religion in Islam family.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Islamic_s ... d_branches

Besides that, this sounds like good news to me. Though that'll halt ISIS' efforts temporarily, which is probably better than nothing.

As Pedigree said someone will take his place so his death doesn't mean much. They are not like Nazis, they don't really follow a single person. Instead they all follow a single goal and probably being manipulated by a group of people instead.

Also yeah, ISIS members are indeed Muslim. It's a very corrupted version of Islam, but it's still Islam.

He probably wasn't a very nice guy, although we shouldn't be happy about other human beings dying.

ISIS is a nominally Muslim movement that seeks to create a global Islamic state (hence its name). In the long run, the movement is about power more than religion - ISIS has no qualms about killing anyone they don't like, whether they're Muslim or non-Muslim. ISIS follows a specific branch of Sunni Islam and is especially brutal toward those who follow the Shia branch of Islam. The vast majority of Muslims don't support or condone ISIS or the senseless acts of violence committed by ISIS, though.

ISIS is an especially ruthless terrorist organization, but unfortunately, it's a movement, not a person. Killing one of its leaders will not make them go away. Killing Osama bin Laden helped lead to the downfall of al-Qaeda, but in its place rose ISIS, which is even more violent - and better-organized - than al-Qaeda ever was.

This is pretty exciting news, but not exactly the end of ISIS.

Middle eastern terrorist groups are a problem we've been fighting for a while now. It seems to me that the reason we're fighting them at all is because we've been bombing them and meddling in their politics pretty regularly for a long time.

There are a lot of Tea Party types who hate the federal government and see Obama as Big Brother trying to put an end to their way of life. And none of them have ever been killed, and few of them have ever been invaded in any sort of way, and even when they were it was for muddy issues like raising their kids completely off the grid. Imagine if those same people were being regularly attacked and killed. They'd have lost it a long time ago and formed their own terrorist groups and attempted to have their own fascist government where the women "dress like women" and everybody has to be not just Christian, but a "real" Christian; no gay people allowed.

As for a solution, I don't have any ideas.
