This whole thing that's been happening during the last 2 days has made me wonder: Is it taboo to put homosexual, bisexual or transexual characters in our Mario fangames and then just submit them to MFGG? I haven't seen any games that have done that yet, so I think it's worth asking.

Don't see any reason it wouldn't be allowed. I mean, a character being gay or lesbian isn't 'family unfriendly'. Heck, some might say turning down a game for this reason would lead to some very unfortunate implications.

Yes. MFGG doesn't prohibit games that depict or discuss romantic relationships, gay or straight. If the content is highly risque, the game will be declined - but again, that goes for both straight and LGBT relationships.

I'm not sure what to vote, because the intent is obviously to ask if I'm okay with gay ships in fangames... but Wario x Wart is a trash pairing.

Eh, sure, why not? As long as Bowser and Wart ain't gettin' nasty, I don't think it'd affect how I'd judge it. I mean, I guess the official games arguably already have Vivian and Birdo.

And yes of course MFGG will accept LGBT characters, though there are likely to be some members on MFGG who won't.

Why not? As long as it's not pornographic obviously, but that goes for straight couples too. I'm all for seeing more romance in fan games in general, straight or gay.

What you are doing is an abomination unto fandom. Incidentally, I recommend [url=https://www.renpy.org/]Renpy[/url]. I have not personally used it, but it seems to be fairly popular for this sort of thing.

Considering how big "shipping" is with fan artists and fanfic writers, I find it interesting how seldom this theme appears in fangames. I'm not if I've ever seen this sort of thing appear in a fangame submitted to MFGG, other than [url=https://mfgg.net/index.php?act=resdb&param=02&c=2&id=13623]the SPM dating sim VN that was made several years ago[/url]. Again, this kind of thing isn't against the rules, but as Magnemania noted, fans' depictions of romance tend to be poorly-executed. (I dare y'all to make an awesome, nontrivial Mario dating sim.)

The onus is on people from Russia to make sure they're not breaking their own country's laws when browsing websites hosted in different countries.

MFGG does not discriminate on the basis of a member's age or nationality.
