There is no like button so I can't collect statistics on the dankness of my memes How does today's modern MFGGer accurately determine their post quality?

the best posts get deleted a fleeting moment of greatness that the lucky few there to witness will remember as something truly special

I also am wondering where my Tusk Bucks are.

I think numerous people have suggested that a like button be implemented. Some people seem to be for the idea, but a lot of people seem to be against it because they fear that people will become too focused on the likes and post nonsense to try to earn them.

If that is what the community is, then let it be so.

Then we actually added the button and it was an incredibly useful addition that provided nothing but positive reinforcement. No one goes out of their way to change their posting style or anything because of it, but content generation and community interaction is up because there is a "reward" of sorts in seeing so many people enjoy a post all conveyed in a single number. So long as you don't go full-on stupid like Reddit's system where threads are based entirely around upboat counts because of an incredibly flawed site format, it's a fantastic system that isn't intrusive in the least.

As long as you don't have a dislike button, a like button can only do good. It's a yes post without the post.

Yeah I don't get the phobia of likes around these parts. Every forum I see it implemented hasn't lost any activity and posting style doesn't change.

During my short time here I've quickly come to find that he general consensus on MFGG is that change is bad.
