This was a thing...

I went out yesterday to see it. I wanted it to be good, to get hooked on this franchise. I thought the first 2 were okay, and the 3rd one was bad, so I wanted to see if this one was good.

Why is it that a good deal of animated films aimed at children are still quality enough to be enjoyed by adults, whereas live-action seems to be quite content making pure schlock for children?

The Extended Tileset-inator

Watching the trailer, I found out that Rodrick didn't resemble that of the one featured in the books! (I have the Wimpy Kid DIY book and not the other ones, DEAL WITH IT!)
His hair was so long, I found it ridiculous and put the #NotmyRodrick mark on my head. Idk why would the moviemakers plan such a strange appearance for Rodrick.
