It has officially been removed. (it's still on the front page bc of a glitch in the old system though)

If anyone has any desire to play it and see what it's about, check it out here

It would not have been accepted had DJ actually scrutinized it like a real submission. I am a staff member though, so it was accepted automatically..

Neither of you said that initially, though.

See, that's a good answer.

Mission accomplished.

Might as well close this thread.

Since the first day I joined MFGG I have never downloaded a single game from the main site. I'd rather read a topic about the game on the forum with information and screenshots/videos.
The main reason is because they don't offer enough information.
If you show me a screenshot of mario standing in front of a black background with only "You're in the Mushroom Kingdom at night. You have the eerie feeling that something is chasing you. You'd better run for your life." as information, chances are I won't download it.
If you show me gameplay screenshots/videos, maybe even tell me before hand what's the point of the game (as well as the controls if they are not included somewhere in the game that is) then I would give it a try.
Either way, not be rude but there are so many games on the main site that are pretty crappy. Why make a big deal about this specific one?
Why is ROO still asking the same question when it was answered various times?

EDIT:Nevermind... I'm late! :0

Pretty much

Cliax Codec is a combination of top-down and third-person shooter. The gameplay will blend platforming, puzzle and shmup elements together to create a unique gameplay experience. You will take control of four playable characters which rise against a team that seemingly wants to take over the world - but are their motives really that cliché, or are there deeper motives behind their actions?

Coco said that she didn't actually play it because it was by a staff member, but she didn't say that she wouldn't have accepted it if she played it.

Oh my god, I do wonder why the hell minimum standard games have to have this much controversy.

Also HylianDev, the game being removed, you p much validated what Roo's been protesting./

ATTENTION! I am in need of coders to help fix Mario's physics for Mysterious Islandz. The game as it stands, is quite glitchy. If you are good at GM8 and is capable of reading FDE Exi's code, PM me!

With that said, it's not fair that it was accepted. I'll request removal.

there's nothing wrong with "validating" valid criticism, strike.

He might've made some less-than-accurate points trying to get us to see things his way, and he may have taken it way too seriously, but he was ultimately right.

There was no point in removing the game. It was funny somehow.

Two QC staffers told me they didn't accept it.

Two others told me, more or less, that it was accepted because it was made by me.

It didn't seem fair to keep it on the site, especially with backlash.

I don't understand why people hated it so much. We had other joke game that was about 5 seconds long and they didn't had bad reception.
