Brought this topic up in other places as well, but I've always enjoyed conversing about it.
We can't really deny it: We love villains and evil within entertainment. It goes against the more sensible aspects of our natures, embracing the darker sides of our personalities and morals, turning people and characters into truly repulsive and contrasting entities of malice. For every good hero we love, there's an evil that holds just a similar place within our hearts; if not more.
In this topic, I'd love to see/hear you guys talk about why you enjoy villains in general entertainment (books, movies, and games alike). Alongside that, feel free to mention specific things/characters that you personally enjoy. Should interest arise, perhaps I'll take some time and jot down my own thoughts for you guys to see then as well, but for now, feel free to intrigue me (and others) with your stories.
