Okay, I thought this idea over for awhile last night, A good number of us are rather talented in Electronics repair and general computer know-how.
but their are also a good number of us who are not,
every now and again i hear of people who go buy a new comp because of something that can easily be fixed.
(its not often, but its here)

So, I was thinking, Perhaps we can put our talents to good use, those of us who know how.
and help those who do not know how.
I know none of us are perfect, but together, we can do this forum a lot of good.

Its simple enough, Someone posts that they need help with something, and we make an attempt to aid them.
you can do it here, or take it to PM's or E-mail.

anyone who wishes to volunteer may, if they feel they have the know-how.
and anyone who needs assistance need only ask, try to describe the problem as best you can.

What do you all say?

Post in this thread if you would like to sign up as a volunteer for this project.
Sighnup closed for now.

Current volunteers:
Nite Shadow
D-Dazzle
Supernova
DragezeeY
Doc
Madox

Is this like the help board of the old MFGG forum?

not entirely,

the idea here is to help people with their devices,
you know, computer, game consoles, ect.

were on the help board, you posted your thread and hoped you got a reply,
here, their will be some techies available, (if more sighn up) im also hoping for a sig banner for the techies, so that people know "PM this guy, he will try to help"

their is a bit more to this than a simple cry for help,
im looking for people who will be their to reply, make the attempt to help, or send the person to somone who can.

ive already signed myself up, but im only 1 person, for this to work, ill need more.

as i said, nobody here is perfect, but some know more than others, and it would only be right to share such knoledge

I need some help. My computer has just recently stopped loading sound for a reason I am not sure of. I checked on the Windows site but it was of no help. I am running on a AMD Quad-Core Laptop, with Radeon Dual graphics, energy star efficiency and Windows 7. Please help. It's not to do with the sound mixer; I already checked, and my volume isn't muted.
EDIT: I also just tried reinstalling my drivers, which didn't help.
